Yeah, well, it was ok, what one would expect from a POTC sequel...
Just can't get all that excited for POTC2, i dunno..., the first was fun for a while, yeah, but that's it. I'm not that into comedy, i prefer my movies having a more serious approach...

Oh, I dunno... DMC's gonna have quite a bit of serious stuff goin' on. In fact, the ending's expected to leave several audience members with tears in their eyes. (the sad kind; not from laughter)

Uh, no. That's a "Holy shit, how could she do that?!" ending, not an "Oh God, NOOOOO!!!!" ending. How could anybody be expected to cry over these cookie-cutter characters?

Oh, c'mon. Nobody's going to shed a tear when [spoil]the Black Pearl sinks. As for Jack Sparrow, everybody knows Pirates 3 is following in less than a year. Nobody's going to buy his death as permanent.[/spoil]

Seriously, the biggest part of the twist ending is...
[spoil]Barbosa showing up in pirate hell, not what Elizabeth does.[/spoil]
I think that's what will get the most attention. And it's a "Holy shit!" ending.

Nice, I can't wait to see that in high-res Quicktime. As for him and his crew, they did look a bit fake, but I'll wait to see the final trailer. Even so, I'd take some spotty effects over a shitty story and overly serious tone in a second.

You know, i'll probably enjoy it like the next guy (have a few good laughs, gaze at the sfx and action), it's just not something i'm anticipating the whole year to watch it. Comprende?
My official prediction:
$95m/$350m

That's exactly how I feel about it as well. I am pretty sure I will like it. I think the original barely missed my Top 10 of 2003. It was a great funf flick, but I could certainly live without a sequel. I will enjoy it, but I'd be fine without it. I am anticipating M:I-3, X3 and Miami Vice much more.

Not sure about Miami Vice, and X3 is a tie (director swap doesn't fill me we confidence), but MI3 definitely, and lately i'm getting more and more excited about Superman. Dunno, i always liked the character of Superman, his story. Superman and Batman (especially) are my favorite superheroes, Marvel characters just don't interest me as much.

Oh, yeah, about the graphics... According to Terry Rossio, they *aren't* finished with them, so I expect them to look even *better* once the movie actually comes out. They don't even have a soundtrack yet.

Please keep the spoilers to a minimum.
And no, I don't think a cliffhanger ending will hurt the box office. Look what happened with Two Towers. And that was the CRAPPIEST ending in cinema history.

Nothing crappy about that ending.
And yeah, please no more spoilers.

You guys are making it very hard not to watch this trailer I just want to know: is it good? As good as the first movie's trailer (I've always been a fan of that trailer)?
