If Hugh Laurie is passed over for his well-deserved Emmy for fricking James Spader again, I'm gonna be mad.
Let's protest together, Spader did revive the dying Practice and all, but we get it. The Emmy's pass out awards 3 years after the actor/shows deserves and rewards the same actor over and over again...its maddening.

Although I wouldn't mind them rewarding the same actor over and over again if it was Hugh Laurie; he actually deserves it.

Tonight's episode was pretty good, I thought. The feud between Cameron and Foreman was a nice change from the House/Wilson stuff, and House was both at his sarcastic best and uncharacteristically compassionate at times. The sideplot with the Chinese mother/daughter was good, and the main puzzle was interesting, though I'm disappointed they went into transplantation yet again. There seems to be a lot of transplants on the show, for some reason. All in all, though, a good episode.

Pretty solid episode, I agree.
I did like that it really wasn't that much of a happy ending with the lesbian couple. The healthy partner's revelation is pretty disturbing.

I liked that it was a one-two punch for Cameron right at the end. First, she hears the real reason the partner donated her liver, and then Foreman pretty much cuts her down with the "we're not friends". That might shake her perception of humanity. Who knows, she might get high again and sleep with Chase, or even *gasp* House?

"House" is being shown in Spain on a new channel, "Cuatro" (That, for those of you who really skipped lots of spanish classes, means "four"). Being new, ratings are not great yet; the average rating is close to 6%.
They are showing the second season already... and guess what. Peaks for it (normally for the second episodes, they show two in the same night) are around 15%. Out of the 25 top rated programs on the network, I think 20+ are House episodes. It has become the second biggest foreign show in the country, just after CSI.
Me, I have fun watching it, although I get lost with the nedical stuff more often that not. But It is becoming quite a phenomenon here.

Was anyone else sort of freaked out when the chick's eyes started moving back and forth really fast (the rapid eye movement stuff)? Weird things like that freak me out.

Interesting episode. Not the best episode, but as is usual with House, even the worst episode will be better than most other shows' good episodes.
I especially enjoyed the clinic patient sideplot... That was hilarious!
Can't wait to see the fallout from Cam & Foreman's little issue. I think it's a testament to the writers that they can show so easily the difference between Cam and Foreman... Cam is always so emotional and gets attached to easily, and therefore she assumed that she was "friends" with Foreman; Foreman, on the other hand, has be compared a lot on the show to House himself, and he's not so easily attached and therefore only sees Cam as a colleague. LOVE IT.
Can't wait for next week's episode. If I'm not mistaken, the actor playing the teen boy is Thomas Dekker... Which is so ironic, 'cause I went on a Touched By An Angel binge the other day, watching my videos at random, and one of the episodes happened to be a Halloween episode in which Thomas plays Satan...... and now I see a commercial for House that has Thomas playing someone who claims to be a servant of God.... VERY ironic.

Still love this show!
Though, how many times this year have the doctors been about to tell someone's partner some disturbing news only to be bailed out? I can think of two, last night's episode and the episode with the dead school teacher with the ghauneria (later found to be caused by her cheating husband).

Hey, made you post. I need to hear constantine's version of Bohemian Rhapsody.
AS for there recap, sounds good, especially since I find Cameron grating.

Cameron really is kind of a shrew; she needs to lighten up.

Foreman acted like a dick. Cuddy had the right advice, Cameron should write more reports, work harder. Foreman seems to think he'll rise higher and leave Cameron behind but if he keeps unnecessarily pissing off colleagues it'll backfire on him.
Overall the episode was boring.

Yeah, it wasn't the best episode. But, as was already said, even a bland episode of House is a good episode. I think.
23.3 million is quite good. It'd be really nice to see it hold a large portion of that when Idol isn't around this fall.

The first season finale was at around 19 million and the 2nd season premiere was 16 million. I say the 2nd season finale can get to 25 million since... [spoil]supposedly the finale will deal with a shooting in the hospital, and the possibility of a cast member ALSO using a cane for the third season[/spoil], while the 3rd season premiere would probably get 18-20 million.

The best episode of the show I can recall. There was a certain rythm to it that flowed better than usual. It helped that they had less medical jargon and more human emotions.

Definitely second that (from the first 15 minutes that I've seen so far).

One of the best, if not the best of the season so far. Still doesn't come close to the masterpiece that was "Three Stories" last year, or even "Detox" (when House stopped taking his painkillers) but a great episode overall. I agree that it was the lack of medical jargon and increase in character development, as well as a compelling plotline, that made the difference. It's always funny to see House come up against religious figures (like he did with a nun last season), and the title "House vs. God" spoke for itself. Solid.

I loved this one. The whole comparison of God to House was very funny, as House does think he's God most of the time. I thought the boy having sex though was kinda out there(was it in a hospital too???), but I guess he wasn't as strong as he supposed. The poker game was funny as well.
