I really should start seeing some good movies, but I hate going to the theatre now, and I'd rather just wait for DVD for most films. The only times I go to movies is with friends.

Inside Man was one of the funnest time at the movies in years. had it ended a ten minutes before than It actualy did, It´d be close to a masterpiece, IMO. Azul... is a spanish first movie from a guy who has talent to spare. Pretty uneven, but brilliant at times. And BI2... It wasn´t that bad. Only surprisingly flat, and frigid.

Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man
Pink Panther
Yes, I just gave last year's Palm D'Or the same grade as Basic Instinct 2... but it's really overrated...? It just didn't work for me emotionally, as I felt the boy's character to be too flawed to connect with him..
I'm Your Man confirmed my worst fear - I'm a fan of the man, but the "documentary" (if we can call that to a montage of Cohen's words with other musicians being interviewed with songs from the tribute concert) is empty and doesn't bring anything new, except the chance to hear Cohen's songs sang by various artists like Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, etc. ... for hardcore fans only..
and Le Temps Qui Reste is the brilliant new film from François Ozon and already has a place on my top 10 for the year, no matter what happens from now on.. I think all the indie buffs here will love it - this is just not another terminal disease movie that we see in cheap made for tv films...

It's not that good.
It's pretty much the definition of a Hollywood film.

I was so entertained throughout the film. It's a mix between Get Shorty and The Usual Suspects.
Believe me, I would have never thought in a million years a Josh "I'm a caveman" Hartnett film would get an A+ from me. Just shocking.

I've heard good things from people with less discriminating tastes, but I'm sold on the fact that it seems solid entertainment. The others I MUST see before they get booted are Smoking, Dreamz, and Hill (<-- Don't ask...)
