I still don't see any indications of that.

It would have sellouts if that was going to happen, I see none.

Even with a 200 ratio, it might still make $7 million opening day.

Not to mention it should have a good weekend multiplier, ala Big Momma's House 2 (Another PG-13 comedy indirectly aimed at kids not screened for critics).

I predicted a pretty low weekend for Benchwarmers so i'm definitely biased but I get the feeling that this is being heavily supported by the teen audiences which will push its ratio higher. We'll see how it progresses into the night. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a ratio in the region of 250.

Right now, I think around $7 million minimum for The Benchwarmers, $5-6 million for Take the Lead, $1-1.5 million for Phat Girlz and around $2-2.5 million for Lucky Number Slevin.

I think it'd be easier to pull my predictions out of a hat from now on.

My predictions (18, 15, 3, and 7.2) are all close enough I think for me to finally have a good weekend as long as I do decent on holdovers...I'm a little pissed because this morning I wanted to bump up my Benchwarmers' predict to 20 million and the derby had just closed...

Take The Lead = 4.5-5M
Lucky Number Slevin = 2M
Phat Girlz = 1M

Bleh, I wish I had the guts to go with $20+ million for The Benchwamers, like I thought. But at least I gave it more than most with $18.6 million.

Seriously, you can't go wrong with a baseball comedy starring three somewhat known comedy actors.

I'd be very happy with those numbers for all of the box office games I play.

Almost signature worthy.

I wouldn't expect the shows to sell out, but the shows will still get sizable audiences.

Well, this looks to be the third week in a row that the #1 opener leaves us slapping our foreheads, going "Ugh, I should've KNOWN!" I wonder if Scary Movie 4 will keep that up next week.

Scary Movie 4's hype is more subdued. a 30-40m show seems more likely.

The lowest I see The Benchwarmers getting this weekend is $19 million now. Take the Lead should make it to $14-15 million, probably. Slevin won't top $7 million even, while Phat Girlz will meet expectations at around $2-2.5 million.

It was released in UK already, it does not have many screens and got an R-rating.
