i went to east side marios. got seated, the waiter came and took our order. everything is cool. 5 minutes pass by and i didn't see no bread. i mean ... east side has the best bread. thats really my only reason for ever going there. so i tried to get the guy's attention. he looked me right in the eye but walked off somewhere else to attend to someone else. i waited 2 minutes and tried again. guy came and i asked him about the bread. he nodded, went and turned, came back and said that sorry, the bread doesn't come free with the meal .. and something something. the something something because this guy has already turned out even before hes finished speaking and just walked away.

i mean ...

a) I mean i always order the same thing. i always get the bread.
b) Maybe i would have told him to instead just get me bread and i would have paid for it
c) he didn't even wait and look and see what i had to say .. he just .... left.

someone else came and gave us our food. another waitress, after seeing us sitting there with empty plates for 10 minutes came and cleard the place. he finally showed up when it was time for the bill. we asked him for seperate cheques but he put the entire bill together. then he disappeared. 15 minutes. i was about to get up and speak with a manager. he showed up. i put 25 cents on and just left.

Glad to hear it. Seriously I was mentally preparing a long post today to explain to you all what I mean, I had a feeling you all wouldn't understand. Going the blog way, busy contributors like xiayun or dolce can add useful thoughts periodically in between their bigger pieces without taking a lot of their free time and it would give the main site a fresh look visually too. I'd read them, probably more often than I read articles.
