Post April 14 - 16 Predictions!
Feel free to worship me for being the first to post this. (ha ha.. just kidding)

Scary Movie 4 33.7 mil.
Ice Age: The Meltdown 21.5 mil. (gotta lower this to reflect this weekend's big drop)
Benchwarmers 12.2 mil. (fairly heavy drop due to Scary Movie 3
The Wild 10.5 mil. (killed by Ice Age 2 as first chioce)
Take the Lead 9 million. (should hold up well)

Heavy drop from what?

I hate predicting holidays. Easter weekend always sucks at the Box Office too. Things usually always underperform and suffer bigger drops.

MY PREDICTIONS:

SCARY MOVIE 4 - 39.6 Million (3-Day)/44.7 Million (4-Day)
THE WILD - 14.5 Million (3-Day)/17.6 Million (4-Day)

Not so good for United 93.

The Sentinel is getting better, though.

$15M for The Wild sounds about right.

Very good for RV. Though it could be overestimating, like Firewall (Another return to form from a once-B.O.-draw).

Reel Source seems off on some of those, although American Dreamz and The Sentinel look about right.

I think that's too low on United 93 and Silent Hill, and too high on RV. Otherwise it looks good IMO.

Is it me or does American Dreamz seem awfully low? I really thought it had a shot at making over $20 mill first weekend when I first started seeing ads. I guess not.

Looks about right for this week's openers though, I expect The Wild to perhaps approach $20 mill at best but not go over. $15 mill I think is the least it can do. Scary Movie 4 I can see doing anywhere from $35 to $45 mill.

Satires like American Dreamz are just never that popular, no matter how good they might be. I would be surprised if it made more than $40-45M total.

At first RV looks too high but crappy family films have done well lately, such as The Pink Panther and CBTD 2.

United 93 is almost impossible to gauge right now. Yahoo reviews will likely be flooded with many fake reviews as well from those who think it's too soon.

Won't Friday be bigger than normal because it's a holiday? And Sunday night as well. People who like the Scary Movie franchise aren't going to care about Easter that much. They'll go to a show with their friends after dinner.

Does anyone agree?

Yeah, I was looking at last year's chart and Easter seemed to help alot. But none of the predictions here are really reflecting that? So... how much affect is it?

Friday part yes, but Sunday, no. Sunday will have harsher than expected declines.
