By those measures, I've already lived half of my life.
On a "positive side", at least they don't suffer in their (most definitely) terrible conditions of sicknesses, poversty and starvation for a long time

San Marino! I'm surprised th average life expectancy doesn't drop a couple points due to stampedes from their wine festival every year. That place is good fun. Wine flows from the town's center fountain during the festival, seriously. And pople chuck grapes at the back of your head. :-)
36, I know about. I do also belive the average life-span over at Rosebud is only 37 years, so here in th States we don't have to look very far. I think SIDS brings down the average age alot there though. I think one on maks it to the ag of 20, alot of men and women still make it to 45 or 50. But even that is depressing by international standards.

Do these numbers include infant mortality? If babies die at the age of 0-1, it brings down an average life expectancy fast. I'd rather see the numbers for adult life expectancy. Even then it would be relatively low because of AIDS, and will probably go DOWN further, as an older healthier population is replaced by a younger AIDS-stricken population.
