Just finished watching tonight's episode of "Lost". CTV aired it early to accomodate The Amazing Race and American Idol.

You guys have seen it already ??
Another character that could be used as a flshback before the season's over is Charlie. He's only had one this season and he is somewhat of a central character or used to be. Plus. we haven't seen him in a while. If the finale has anything to do with Aaron, I'm sure we'll see another Charlie one or at the latest within the three first episodes of Season 3.

Yeah. The television station CTV here in Canada broadcasts shows from all of the major primetime networks in the US. So, because The Amazing Race airs at 8 on CTV/CBS, and American Idol airs at 9 on CTV/FOX, they pushed Lost to 6pm. We also get CSI: NY at 7pm. Then, the national news airs at 10.
We're special.
We also get The Daily Show and The Colbert Report at 11pm and 11:30pm Monday to Thursdays. CTV picks and chooses the best of the best.

Just watched the episode from last week.
The island stuff was great, the flashback not so much. The lockdown, the map, and the reveal at the end being so excellent made up for that though.
Few thoughts: Could Henry Gale be one of the nigerians? Maybe he popped out in a parachute, when he knew they would crash. The people in the flashback are mostly accounted for, but maybe there was someone else in the plane or a co-pilot or something we didn't see.
Seeing Nadia appear was a nice touch.
Poker game was interesting, and yeah it was obvious Sawyer was trying to lose. Jack should've noticed though, I mean he had a bad hand himself, but Sawyer had nothing. He's not stupid enough to guarantee himself the loss like that. Or maybe Jack did know, and he was keeping it in.
The new episode for me is on in...oh, 16 minutes. I love Canada.
And one more addition: I'm pretty sure Zep/fake Gale was also in X2. I saw it on tv the other day, I recognized him. He plays a substantial part, the psychic guy that messes's with Professor X's head.

so give us some comments you guys who have seen tonight's already. Either general vague comments or highlighted spoiler text or whatever. As Colbert would say, give us some truthiness.

Meh. Didn't really like this episode. I haven't really liked season two on a whole, though. I miss the focus being solely on the main characters that we'd grown used to - Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Kate, Michael, Walt, Charlie, Claire, Jin, Sun, and whoever else I can't remember right now. The focus is now so split up that we go weeks without seeing some of the main characters. The pacing is incredibly slow -- where last season was 44 days, this so far has been, what, five days? Atleast that what it feels like. I mean, yeah, them showing Libby was in Hurley's psych ward is a nice "surprise" but even so, I'm not really intrigued and I don't really care that much to find out why she's there.
Next week looks good atleast. It looks like focus will be back on some of the main characters, which I like, and I'm hoping it won't be as boring as this week was.

The last 30 seconds was good, though not totally unexpected.
I agree with greased above on most points. Except every single week people say "well that was so-so but next week looks like it rocks!" so I've learned not to put too much stock in what next week looks like it's going to be.

I think Lost just gave the finger to the "Its all a dream" theory.

The best thing is later after they've been together a long time, if he tells her he's been seeing someone else she doesn't have to panic.

Meh, kind've a filler episode. It didn't really add anything to the overall island story, except the last couple minutes with Hurley and Libby's relationship taking off, and if you count the confirmation that Eko is building something. Gale's situation went nowhere, after such a promising set-up last time, they dropped the ball on the intensity I think.
I could tell the Dave twist from basically the start. I must say I'm kind've disappointed they went down this path that's already been done SO many times before, it's not exactly a creative idea.
Speaking of Dave, did anyone notice he was suspiciously... Kevin Spacey-like? Is he like his younger brother, or what?
Anyways, yeah. Disappointing episode, quite useless.

Well, um.
Is Libby insane, literally?
I thought I read a rumor that her character turns out to be a pathological liar, I wonder if that's true. I mean, it would make sense at this point.

I enjoyed the episode. Dave was quite an interesting character, albeit not real. Hurley attack Sawyer was great. Henry Gale is lying about the numbers. He just doesn't want to be in the hatch when the numbers actually do run out.
Jack looks to be going a little crazy next week. Ah, the good ole days of Season 2.

Gale wasn't lying when he said that the numbers did go to zero. You could hear the same rumbling sound the Hatch made when the red hieroglyphs appeared in "One of Them". Not to mention the map that suddenly appeared after the rumbling noises.
Judgiing from the preview, I think that Jack and Locke are going to intentionally let the numbers go to zero so that they can see the map again, to try and find the Others.

I liked the stuff with Gale. And the ending, even if I'm a bit confoozled.
But the rest with the robe & slipper guy was a bit too silly.

Okay, I'm only halfway through the episode (it's easy to tell that Dave is not real in the flashbacks) but have any of you considered:
Dave is real… on the island… at least as real as anybody else’s hallucinations. Maybe even the monster?
Unless I missed the reference, nobody tied this into Jack’s father’s appearance in “White Rabbitâ€Â, the appearance of Kate’s horse in “What Kate Didâ€Â, the weird appearances by Walt in various episodes, etc. etc. etc. Was there an element of Sawyer slightly interested in what Hurley was seeing because he had a similar experience with the boar? I mean, we all know that the monster can see people's history or whatever... is this so implausible with what the series has set up?
People easily jump on the Hurley is crazy argument because he WAS crazy but that doesn’t mean that this is the same cause.
THE BIG GIVAWAY HERE is that Dave has so far had no direct interaction with Hurley unless initiated by Hurley? The Hurley/Dave interaction ON THE ISLAND is physical each time (picking up the shoe, the throwing of the coconuts, etc.) Hurley DOES touch Dave, but Dave is a figment of his imagination, not the other way around.
I so far see no reason to consider Dave less real than the stallion or Jack's father or maybe even the boar or the Walt flashbacks.

Well... Dave is slapping him around now so this part is debunked
Still... with 15 minutes left to go, weird real?-island-Dave is different (and much less talkative) than crazy-Hurley-flashback-Dave.
The island or the people on it, IMO are completely fucking with Hurley.
