Yeah, I do too! He's pretty great. It's the most obscure and expectedly fantastic stuff.
I remember freaking when La Belle Est Le Bad Boy was in the sex and the city finale. Which was a really good finale. Although I'll pretty much watch anything that even refers to Paris in passing reference.

I like that "Inch a Solaa" song or whatever the heck it's called. I don't know, I don't do French.

Inch'Allah?
I do do French! If its french, I'll hump it!
Sure, they are snobby as hell, but hey, they have a right to be. France is beautiful.
Try and get La Belle est Le Bad Boy. It's one of the best tracks from france if Alizee and her incredibly bad good music wasn't around.
MC Solaar was raised in the suburbs of Paris, which is not a good place to live. It's basically where all the African immigrants are dumped and told to stay. So his music is really relevant to a whole generation of africans living in france [and there are hefty african populations in every major french city] hence his popularity. He's not had an album out for 3 years now though.

I never knew, I never knew that everything was falling through, that everyone I knew was waiting on a cue, to turn and run when all I needed was the truth, but that's how it's gotta be, it's coming down to nothing more than apathy, I'd rather run the other way than stay and see, the smoke and who's still standing when it clears, everyone knows I'm in over my head, over my head, with eight seconds left in overtime, she's on your mind, she's on your mind.
That's what I'm listening to right now. My favorite song at the moment.

The Fray - How to Save a Life
Let him know that you know best, cause after all you do know best, try to slip past his defense, without granting innocence, lay down a list of what is wrong, the things you've told him all along, and pray to God he hears you, and pray to God he hears you, where did I go wrong, I lost a friend, somewhere along in the bitterness, and I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life.

Vanessa Carlton - White Houses
I'm still slightly furious Harmonium bombed.
It's alright
And its nice not to be so alone
But I hold on to secrets.
In White Houses.

O.A.R. - Love and Memories
Didn't you love me, faster than the devil, run me straight into the ground, drowning deep inside your water, drowning deep inside your sound, you're always floating, a vapor that I couldn't see, here I'm stuck inside a yesterday, everything is giving away, you fell for me, didn't you love me, faster than the devil, run me straight into the ground, drowning deep inside your water, drowning deep inside your sound, drowning in love and memories.

Carrie Underwood - Some Hearts
I've never been the kind that you'd call lucky, always stumbling around in circles, but I must've stumbled into something, look at me am I really alone with you?, I wake up feeling like my life's worth living, can't recall when I last felt that way, guess it must be all this love you're giving, never knew it could be like this, but I guess, some hearts they just get all the right breaks, some hearts have the stars on their side, some hearts they just have it so easy, some hearts just get lucky sometimes.

Sean Paul - Temperature
It's such a bad song, but try driving around with the windows rolled down and this song at max. volume and see what kind of looks you get. Heh.

Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes
Seems like just yesterday, you were a part of me, I used to stand so tall, I used to be so strong, your arms around me tight, everything it felt so right, unbreakable like nothing could go wrong, now I can't breathe, no I can't sleep, I'm barely hanging on, here I am, once again, I'm torn into pieces, can't deny it, can't pretend, just thought you were the one, broken up deep inside, but you won't get to see the tears I cry, behind these hazel eyes.

Sailing - Rod Stewart
Quite possibly one of my favorite music videos ever (just found it on youtube for the first time in ages).
Geez, it means so much after 911.
