Anyone Know How to Get More People In?
I see there are 249 users (weren't there 250?)
While that's a pretty decent number, quite a few ave never ever posted, and even more have posted only a little.
Heavily Active posters would probably account for less than 1/4th of that total.
Well, for the long-term health of this forum, new users are required from time to time. Is there any plan to take care of that?

Yep.
Most of which will go into swing after I get out of school in another few weeks.
But as for the users in the community now, an easy way for you to help us grow is to just invite some of your friends that you would like to see post here as well. Some of you, and you know who you are, really helped alot. If it wasnt for all of you this community would already be dead.
But as this happened so suddenly, well, we weren't really prepared for it. We are in the process of getting our name out there now, and finally if you search google for worldofkj we own the entire 2 pages! It was never like that before. Now I have to go about targeting other searches like "Movie forums" and things of that nature.
It is a work in progress, but hopefully in the coming months we can start growing again.
As for 250 to 249, a user created a double account, which he was using to test something. I am pretty sure he asked to have it deleted? Double accounts arent really something I care about.

I think for the time being, a relatively small population is okay. Large populations welcomes more trolls, spammers, and all-around morons. Plus, it's not like all 5000+ users posted on BOM. Only a few posted on a regular basis, probably the same amount that now posts here. But in the long term, it could help to attract more attention.

We don't much take kindly to strangers round these parts...
I think the main site will need to get a bit more focused and appealing to new visitors before the forums will start to expand any.

Alpha and Omega was deleted. user asked for its deletion as it was a double account being used for a test.
Don't worry, no one will ever be deleted. And if theres a banning, everyone will be informed.
This site must remain anonymous to Swimfan.

Swimfan would be great for this site!
I think making our main page better is a must. Baba, myself as well as others are trying are hardest to make it a success. I think if our main page has cool things to offer, then more people will come

I would say either:
1) Affiliate the board with an already established movie website that doesn't have a board and might want one -- like box office guru.
2) Or turn the main KJ site into a portal that strangers might want to visit -- a lot easier said than done though, even if it is a good site, hard to get it noticed.
3) "Advertise" the board in signature's and other subtle ways on other boards like rotten tomatoes -- might help but not reliable at all.
....best I can do suggestion wise.

It's hard.
I convinced one real-life person to join, and she's posting a bit (that is, I don't have to nag her anymore). But, I don't want to nag that much about a board when it's not for everyone (and, yes, I have tried!)
Also, considering the way the board was started, I think we've really got to work on the main page. We can't encourage others to join without prior knowledge unless we advertise and appeal. I know that I wouldn't just join any board; I'd have to see the kind of boards and people on the boards and the main page (beause, almost always, boards orient off a main page).

I don't think this board will ever be HUGE. I mean, don't get me wrong here. I would love to see more people posting here, but to be honest, this is more of a "personal website" for KJ that we just came to when we had a problem we another forum. None of us have any plans to go back to BOM (or, atleast I hope not), but lets face facts that this site is a personal site, not a Box Office Site where people can just search Box Office or search Movies and it'll come up.
But, getting friends who are interested on this site would be fun.

What i personally would like is more people of the type interested in the box office numbers and related games. But I know it's very hard.

I for one an happy with the current size. Things can get too busy, and then y'all be wishing for the olden days when we are a friendly smaller group.I say, sit back and enjoy what we have right now. If more people come, great, but if not it's still good.
It you guys get really desperate for additional company, we could all create an alter-ego. For example, right now I'm the ever suave sophisticated and sexy TonyMontana. But, like Superman, I could create an alter ego that's not so suave and sexy. I could call him "Babaa" or "rustee" or "dark pimp".

We could auction rusty on ebay, that would get some publicity.

I already auction myself off on the street corner every night. Let me stay off prossin' myself for about a month and that e-bay idea would generate lots of buzz.

What if I put a beer helmet on too, and then load it with some funky Canadian beer? Would that make me sophisticated and sexy?

I could do a strip tease in my Elven Soldier gear! Nothing like a bloke taking off his armour and velvet robes!
