Post So... a re-release of Crash ?
Despite some big theatre chains (including Regal and AMC) claiming that even if Crash won all of its 6 nominations, they would not carry it for a re-release. this is from the Hollywood Reporter.

Then, I saw in today's Crash ad in the LA times that it would be having a special re-release engagement starting this Friday

I think I read 200 theatres somewhere... don't know where. But, does anyone else have any news on this?

No one will see it in the theatre in a re-release in these days of the DVD.

Good luck finding a copy of the DVD in stores, now.

I second that you won't find it it's sold out, re-release is good! I've seen it only on DVD and nows my chance to catch it on the big screen in a crowded theater so I can see everyones reactions.

Maybe Focus is re-releasing it so people will finally realize how terribly bad it is and that the Academy OR Jack Nicholson made a mistake...

Is it really that hard to get the DVD for the average Jo Blo? If so, good move with the re-release.

This should be just enough for it to make it to $54M. Eh.

The first second Nicholson said 'Crash' I really thought he was joking, because normally they say the names of the producers first, right?

Crash is showing at ONE theatre in San Francisco, a second run theatre way out on the edge of town near the beach. No one goes way out there to see a second run movie, let alone one that's been on DVD for months already. Most people who wanted to see it have rented or bought it by now. Anybody influenced by the shameful Oscar win should have no problem finding it on a shelf at the local Blockbuster.
