glad to see that I was right thinking Munich would get nominated as stated in this thread.

and I was just thinking > Spielberg's no talking about Munich got him a nomination after all.
but will it lead to Oscar Gold.
IMO, it should get Best Picture.

wow, we have an exact tie > does anyone want to try to break it???

Best Picture Question, if the Oscars don't decide to go with a smaller picture - Who deserves it more between these 2 bigger movies - Breakback Mountain or Munich?
Breakback Mountain > EASY CHOICE FOR THE WINNER 44% ( 11 )
Breakback Mountain > HARD CHOICE FOR THE WINNER 4% ( 1 )
Munich > EASY CHOICE FOR THE WINNER 44% ( 11 )
Munich > HARD CHOICE FOR THE WINNER 4% ( 1 )
Don't Know > too close to call between those two 0% ( 0 )
Don't know > didn't like / see them ( Not that you want another as just between these 2 ) 4% ( 1 )

Ditto, I am backing Munich but if BBM I am not going to want to going on a murderous rampage, I reserve that feeling for a certain other nominee...

I don't think either one of these films is really oscare worthy. They are both fine films, but nothing earth shattering. I see Munich as a picture where you systematically pick off people one by one. There was nothing mindblowing about it...it was a horror movie with guns.
Brokeback was also good. Heath and Jake were amazing and maybe even oscar worthy but best picture? Are you friggin kidding me? Michelle Williams? Give me a break.

Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

Hprror filsm today strike me to be about gore, Munich far scarier then any horror film I've seen in years. Munich played more like a Hitchcock type thriller then a horror film. That is why I think the film works so well, while yes its about a larger political issues, it still works as a thriller.
