Well, my projections (based more on crowd reports than Yahoo):

Madea's Family Reunion - $7.5-10 million
Running Scared - $0.9-1.3 million
Doogal - $1.3-1.7 million

My projections:

Doogal - I agree, the Yahoo numbers really don't look good. Using the 4 hour ratio I was off on Nanny McPhee, but I doubt that's the case here. With only 14 reviews a normal 4 hour ratio for this type of film would mean under 1m. I'll give it 1.05m Friday. When a movie has a C at Yahoo it almost always bombs.

Running Scared - Weak numbers, although I think it might manage a ratio as low as 160. Maybe 1.1m Friday. I'm really disappointed with this one. Hopefully though I'll enjoy the movie.

MFR - Not having the frontpage at any point in the day will lower the ratio. BMH2 had a low 4 hour ratio and this could be lower, even under 15. The raw yahoo numbers make me suspect something near 9.6m. We will see if the crowd reports make it go higher. If I were to make a guess based on this and the crowd reports, I'd say 10.5m.

I'm thinking that Ultraviolet will be at around 160. I disagree on comparisions to Aeon Flux as a movie, but it will have the same demographic, so the ratio should be similar.

16 Blocks might have about 90. Collateral is probably a good comparision; it has more action then Firewall which will increase the ratio.

With Chappelle's fanbase and a low theater count I think Block Party will be a bit over 200.

Aquamarine can top 300.

That's what I expect if they don't have the frontpage.

I actually think Chappelle could top 300. Popular star among young and urban crowd x low theater count = Lotsa votes.

Glad to see Screen Gems has people to write fake reviews for them on yahoo.

But it could have the highest grade out of all the openers. That stuff you just can't fake. I am really rooting for UV, even though I shouldn't, I just saw what Sony did to the release date of SILENT HILL in Australia. I smashed a window.

Delayed it for 4 months. April 28 to August 31. I had to check if I was dreaming. And then the secretary at Sony Australia got an earful.
