This is looking really good for Doogal, eh? Seems like it could make up to $4.5 million on Friday...

Boy, that MFR number freaked me out... but if it has that many before its opening on Friday, that's going to lessen the amount of business over the weekned. That seems really bad for Doogal and even worse for Running Scared.

Yeah. These damn kid's movies.

If it does end up with 12-13 million, god. It'll be the 4th opener this month where my month(s)-early prediction was absolutely dead-on. Firewall, Pink Panther, Date Movie, and Doogal.

It actually seems beyond excellent for Dougal. I expected this much for the whole day....

Not sure about Doogal yet. Valiant didn't have a low ratio, if I remember right. Being an import could be a factor. However, we can definitely say it's doing better than Running Scared.

Doogal should top 10m this weekend IMO. Running Scared is kind of weak, but Sin City was backloaded and had an extremely low ratio, given that it was on the frontpage, so we'll see.

I dropped my Doogal prediction from $8.7 million to $7.9 million at the last second.

If it makes $10 million...

Running Scared 199, 117 Friday, +16, B-

It's quite entertaining to see the numbers going backward and forward.

I wouldn't jump to too many conclusions on Doogal. My theater which usually does excellent w/ kid's movies only had 21 people all night with it. That is horrible and even Valiant did alot more than that. I don't know why the ratio would be so high for this, but I'm thinking everyone is gonna be really shocked when the number is low for this.

I agree. There were only about 10 people in our theater. Curious George seemed to be the biggie for the night.

Don't worry Zing, it is completely flopping at my theater. It looks like you overpredicted like everyone else here. In fact, you could get a 0 is this continues to be this bad.

So I guess Yahoo and the crowd reports are on totally different sides tonight. Yahoo says Doogal does good, Family Reunion a bit disappointing. CRs says Doogal shitstained, Family Reunion mega beast.

My gut says crowd reports are right.

Well, I think the internal multiplier for this one will be very high, so even if it makes only $1 million, it should make around $4 million over the weekend.

I wouldn't say the Yahoo Reviews are disappointing for MFR. Without the frontpage it was never going to have a high ratio, and with the 2730 prior reviews you certainly didn't have any effect on the ratio from the fans. So, something under 150 would seem likely anyway IMO.

I don't think Yahoo is very off with Doogal. The grade C is a sign that the ratio could be in the 150 range, along with small screen counts and being shown in UK earlier. And look how bad it's doing for the final 4 hours. I think $2m Friday is definitely out of question. $1.5M is pretty much the high I see.
