That's what the characters (the females one, at least) on the show call him.

And, uh... I was just going along with everyone else.

WOW! Tonight's episode was GREAT! I loved the ending. It just sucks that George is going to end up getting his feelings hurt since Meredith doesn't love him like that, she was just feeling vulnerable and lonely. Still, I love Meredith and don't get how so many people find her annoying. Ellen Pompeo kicks ass. She's so adorable on this show.

I like how they didn't make Addison some one-dimensional bitch and how you actually do like her.

Anyway, I'd say I officially give this show a 10/10 (A+) now. It joins GILMORE GIRLS and VERONICA MARS as one of the few shows on the air to achieve such a rating.

Well, from the forty minutes I saw, it was great. Although the ending.. not cool.

And I must say... Addison picks some gorgeous men. Sloan or w/e his name is.. absolutely gorgeous. I donno if I could pick which one was hotter between him and McDreamy. They're both gorgeous in their own ways so it's hard. And although he's supposed to be the asshole who 'stole' Addison from McDreamy, I can't help but feel bad for him. He loves her, really loves her, and all he wants is to be with her. He knows what he did is wrong but he knows that it's pretty much over between Addison and McDreamy and he wants to be with her. And that would make me happy so that Meredith and McDreamy could reunite ;).

Can't wait for next week. They better not have sex!

You guys are horrible. He could have stopped it too. It's not all Meredith's fault. She's only human. He should know she doesn't love him and will never love him like that. But he still had sex with her anyway, and I can't blame him nor do I blame her. It just happened.

But she doesn't really even know he's THAT in love with her and been pining over her for so long. I can't really say I wouldn't have done the same thing in her shoes, for whatever reason. Maybe if it were me I'd have just ended up doing it because I didn't want to let him down and hurt his feelings at the time, or like her I'd have done it because I was lonely and not thinking clearly. It happens. At least he gets to have sex with her once though, and that's something . Either way he'd be getting his heart broken.

Everyone finds about Meredith and George.

That Denny guy comes back and Izzy starts blowing off Alex to hang out with him, I guess.

And Meredith says "I did a terrible thing and I'm gonna lose all my friends" to McDreamy.

My thoughts: George and Meredith hooking up=weird. They don't mesh.

thanks libs! :D

can't wait till next episode.

On the topic of this episode, was it just me or was there tons of chemistry between the group when they were all together? They really seemed like a bunch of old time friends.

I'm really starting to like Izzy and George's best friend relationship that's developing.

- Poor George = he needs to give up as he isn't the type of guy that M will want long-term.

- Med > one night stands continue > what a trip she is.

- New Guy > what did they call him, McSteamy. Anyway, his face had a chiseled Leonardo D look.

wonder how long he will stay, as I can't see Addision leaving > she is too much of a block between M and her doc.

- looking forward to the tension between Izzy and Alex as she goes with that othr guy.

OK I watched this show this week, I don't always, and that ending was the first realistic and sensible thing I've seen the ditzy lead girl do. Instead of pining after one much older millionaire or another she went with someone her own age range. Yeah George is dorky but if you think guys like those two older, rich surgeons weren't dorky when they were younger you're fooling yourself. They might not "mesh" in the TV fantasyworld where hot people only hook up with hot people, but by real life rules it made a lot more sense than her previous choices.

Heh I'm so on a different wavelength than you guys.

Also, about last night...

Did anyone else think that Mark/McSteamy was pretty...smokin'? He and Addison had good chemistry too.

I think McDreamy needs to ditch Addison (who can go back to McSteamy!) so he can take Meredith back so she can stop being whiny and giving George false hope.

I would bet that for M that won't even last to next week, it was a one night hook up as she was feeling bad.

and she really didn't go after him, he came to her in her bedroom and she just let it happen. Almost like she didn't even think about it.

IMO, as I saw it.

in real life yes but on the show ????

- guess it is yes to 1st question as even the nurses on the show confirmed that with 5 minutes of hot talk during the McSteamy discussion.

- and can that second happen on this show right now > A leaves town and M and M hook up and G gets left alone.

won't talking Addison out of the picture and letting M and M hook up stop the biggest part of the show right now

are they going to just settle back as a couple.

Definately! Like I said in my post above, I don't think I could pick who is better looking between the two of them. McSteamy might just get the edge.. he's younger looking and has a rugged look to him as opposed to McDreamy's pretty boy look. Dempsey definately has competition now.

He did have great chemistry with Addison, too. And you could feel his pain and anguish when he spoke to her and was trying to make her be with him. It's obvious that his character really does care about her.

For all I care, he can take her.

Anyone know how many episode he's going to be on for?

ERIC DANE, aka Mark/McSteamy.... hot.

Funny moments:

When Mark starts sewing up his own wound on the face:

George: "Why is he suturing himself?"
Christina: "To turn me on."

Hehe, also when they (Christina and was it Alex?) were lipreading the argument between McDreamy and Mark, they suddenly scutter away when learning of the woman with the spontaneous orgasms.

:D

If it had happened only once, it could have been considered a fluke. But then Sunday night, it happened again. Now, we may almost have a trend on our hands.
For the second straight week, ABC's young-doctors-in-love drama "Grey's Anatomy" beat its Sunday-night lead-in, the heretofore indomitable "Desperate Housewives," in the ratings on Sunday (Feb. 19). The show's feat is all the more impressive for having taken place opposite heavier-than-usual competition from NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics.

"Grey's Anatomy" gathered about 24.3 million viewers on Sunday, continuing a run of big audiences that began with its post-Super Bowl broadcast on Feb. 5. That episode brought in close to 38 million people, the most for the post-game program in five years.

The Super Bowl episode ended in a cliffhanger, and 25.4 million people tuned in Feb. 12 to see its resolution. That night was also the first time "Grey's Anatomy" had improved on an original "Desperate Housewives."
With the cliffhanger in the past, it wouldn't have been a shock if "Grey's" had dipped back closer to its pre-Super Bowl level, which was still pretty high -- the show averaged 17.9 million viewers per week through the end of January, ninth-best in all of primetime. But Sunday's episode maintained the momentum, beating "Housewives" again in both viewers and adults 18-49.

It's not as if the Emmy-winning "Housewives" has gone into the tank the past two weeks, either: The past two airings have drawn 23.4 million and 23.3 million viewers, slightly better than its season average.

Additionally, "Grey's" has sustained its big audience opposite Winter Olympics coverage that's also drawing around 20 million viewers. It's true that the Olympics aren't the ratings force this year that they've been in the past, but they're still a big step up from NBC's regular programming. Sunday, for example, NBC had 18.6 million viewers in the 10 p.m. hour; normal time-slot occupant "Crossing Jordan" is averaging 11.6 million for the season.

That's amazing!

Grey's Anatomy is now a top 3 show :shades:

It's still fairly new as well. It was midseason last year, so it could very well be even bigger next year.
