Post Felicity Huffman should win, not Reese
Isn't it funny how the Oscar committee is trying to make itself popular by giving the Oscar to Reese Witherspoon, when Felicity Huffman gives much more well rounded performance.

So who should win best actress?

It's not just the Academy. Witherspoon won more critics' awards.

Felicity, and I don't really need to see the other performances, since she's THAT good...

Felicity deserves it, but...

And you can blame its atrocious distribution pattern for that.

Reese takes it by default.

I don't think you can call it, the Oscar committee > maybe the Oscar community as aren't there over 6,000 voters.

I think both Reese and Keira gave a better performance than Huffman.

I was extremely underwhelmed with both the acting and the film.

Felicity Huffman deserves to win, for sure -- but that's never stopped the Academy from giving the Oscar to a cartoon parody performance like Witherspoon's...

None of this would even be an issue if Kilcher had gotten a nod.

This certainly wouldn't be the first time the Academy didn't give the Oscar to the best actress. So many other things come into play when they consider who to vote for.

An Oscar voter (in EW) has revealed that he voted for Reese Witherspoon and noted that he had not seen Transamerica.

Also... there seems to be alot of talk that 40 Year Old Virgin really got snubbed and not just in Screenplay

Uhh...it was a good and sweet comedy, but certainly not THAT good. I found Wedding Crashers and especially Kiss Kiss Bang Bang more enjoyable. Now the latter was REALLY snubbed.

You'd think legit Acadmey members would ensure that they'd seen all nominated films.

Kinda ridiculous.

blame it on the studio for the release pattern.

I want Reese to win, because I'm just so tired of the "uglifying" getting the best actress Oscars. It's getting so old.

1999 Swank
2000 Roberts
2001 Berry
2002 Kidman
2003 Theron
2004 Swank

If Huffman won, it would be 7 straight years of the same formula winning in the category.... :nonono:
