Not impressed with Junebug except for Amy's performance, and even that is a little over-praised. :(

Why not? If it's the only way you can see the movie?

Why not? If it's the only way you can see the movie?

First off, I fall asleep almost every time I've turned one on.

Second, I think it's a horrible way to see movies - I love the big screen, big sound experience - preferably with the shared ambience of a big crowd on opening night. Even on friends "big" screen home theatres, I find the comparison sadly lacking.

I'm just a theatre dude at heart I guess...

North Country is probably the only other one I'll catch before the ceremony. I'm a bit disappointed I missed Syriana, but it's not like I didn't try to see it. It just so happened that the night I tried to see the movie the theatre had lost its power.

I really liked Capote... It is a very worthy BP nominated film, IMO. In fact, I liked all five nominees this year, something extremely rare.

I will most likely catch Capote and Brokeback Mountain before the Oscars, but that's it. The only other film that is already out here is Cache and I am really not anxious to see it...

That´s interesting. I thought that the movie was very... lively, specially in its first half. Almost hysterical, to be honest (Those teenage girls were pretty annoying)
