 Oh, our dear Maverikk...
6 days and counting...
Where the fuck is he? It's embarassing, but it's not that embarassing. Is he really just skipping out on all this fun because he doesn't want to face his previous words? It's already been almost an entire week.
So if you're reading this, I hope you know that all the fire is cooled down and we really would not say a word about it(unless you provoked us heh). Just come back buddy.

I don't think WTL's snub is the reason he's absent. Really don't think so.
But whatever it is, I hope he gets back soon. The more discussion in the Awards forum, the merrier.

I agree with Lecter. Can we cut out the obvious nonsense now?
I don't think this merits its own thread.

I've been in contact with him. He wanted me to tell you guys that he's taking an extended (probably permanent) break from the site because he's just not really having fun anymore.

Yeah, loosing is no fun.
But seriously, it's always nice to come home to more activity around here. Come back, Mav.

that's a bummer.
I know he has walked away before, maybe he'll come back again.

I'm taking a break too. I'll see you guys around from time to time.
I talked to Maverikk before he left... it's pretty much for kind of the same reasons.

I don't want to pry, but can you elaborate a bit? I know this place can bring me down sometimes with all the arguing, although that's probably true with most forums.

So Maverikk left because the forum is just like real life discussions... in that nobody agrees with him?!?!?

It just gets too tiresome for some of us I guess.
I know I've had a lot of work to do lately, but even still, I'm posting minimally because there's little pushing me like there once was. This place needs a shot of adrenaline or something. It's too much of the same.

Well that's a shame and I hope he comes back, but the best piece of advice one could offer in situations like this is to stop taking this movie and box office stuff, this Academy stuff so seriously.. God knows how many times I've been wrong in predicting something, but I simply don't care and refused to get involved emotionally with any of this stuff, otherwise I would've bailed a long time ago.. Life's too short to get worked up over trivial shi* like this even though WALK THE LINE should've been Nominated, but oh well..

Unless someone asks for their account to be deleted, they have some intention on returning.
I'm sure we'll see Mav again (unless that is, he asked for his account to be deleted).

I am glad ot hear is ok, and I can understadn that feelings, I often have to walk away from here b/c its not fun.
Hopefully, things in his life are going wellf or him,a nd if he ever feels ne can come back he will.
AS for the thread starter, way to be an idiot.
