Working on this list is fun, but its starting to give me a headache. A certain Julianne Moore movie is doing really well.

Will there be 10/5 'final' nominees as on our ballots?

If one wants to refresh some memory, here is a good place to start on what were the most critically acclaimed movies of the last 5 years (upper right corner for year index).

I'm seeing Kong tonight, so when I get back I'll have seen all the movies I need to make my list.(I wish I could see Munich and Match Point actually, but they won't come to my town...I'll have to wait until DVDs.)

Films eligible for these awards are those released from 2000 - 2004.

I believe.

Ok.

Kong didn't make it anyways, it would've just missed the cut.

most people are voting for Kill Bill Vol. 1, so it'd be wise for me to do the same (if I want the movie to do well), but can I count it as a whole (Vol. 1 + 2)?

I don't think that is wise, since then we have to question all split films/trilogies. I wouldn't allow anyone to put all three Lord of the Rings films together, so I don't think it's right to allow the Kill Bill films to go together when people have been voting for them separately, and they are two separate (and even slightly different feeling) films. For example, I think the the 2nd Kill Bill is much better than the first due to it's emotional strength in the ending and more story behind it (rather than just kill, kill, kill for the whole film).

PEACE, Mike.
