Capote...A Solid B/B+ and Phillip Seymour Hoffman was excellent. I'm not getting the Kenner love, though.

Meh! It was OK, the performances were great, but I don’t know I wanted to see more.
And the some of the sex scenes for me were kinda unnecessary especially the one of the stairs

B-

Unnecessary? Are you kidding me? I mean, if you're not a fan of minimalistic filmmaking I can understand someone being left cold by the film, but saying the sex scenes were "unnecessary" is pretty ridiculous. I guess the point must have been far too subtle for you or something, but jeez...

Me and You and Everyone We Know

Ok, This is by far the weirdest movie I've ever seen. It was so weird that I cannot give it a grade. I can't. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it. I didn't think it was average either. It wasnt bad but it also wasnt ok or good either. I cannot give it a grade. I wouldnt tell anyone not to see it. And I wouldnt recommend it either.

No Grade

Underworld: Evolution B

It's definitely an improvement over the first one. Much more fun. I was thinking of docking the grade a bit because they chickened out of a pretty cool second act twist, but the audience-friendly finale made up for it. I'm also damn glad I watched the first film today for the fist time in two years -- this is a direct sequel in the same way Halloween II was, picking up only an hour or two after Underworld and continuing all of its plotlines.

Still think it's overrated, but I liked it more than I did when I first saw it ten months ago.

Margaret Cho: Assassin - B
A lot of her stuff falls flat this time, and her political stuff is nothing new, but I still probably laughed more at this film than any other film from '05. She's always been one of the few stand-up comics I could tolerate.

Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist
B+

Flawed, but a worthy prequel with fascinating characterization. It makes The Exorcist a better movie. Which brings me to...

The Exorcist
A+

My favorite horror film of all time. Perfection on screen.

Chaplin? Niiiiice. Although I'm a City Lights/Gold Rush man myself.

Brokeback Mountain (2nd Viewing)- 9.6
Cabaret- 8.9
Stage Door (1937)- 8.7
Grizzly Man- 8.5

And, for reasons unimportant, a Porno Called "Devil Girl 2." The plot, involving a mysterious satanic gang and their desire to implant a virgin with their dark 'seed,' is patently ridiculous. But maybe that's my fault; I haven't seen the original.
