Well, ok maybe i took him out of context but...

"If the industry wants to spice up things up, the Oscars could nominate "Batman Begins." Christopher Nolan's superhero movie proved artful and commercially appealing and resurrected a moribund franchise. It's the least compromising among the year's popular pictures, and a good movie to boot — the kind that people can root for."

You tell em Brandon. I mean, I personally agree with you. Whetehr it wins or not doesnt matter, but it should just get the recognition that I think it deserves

If SPIDERMAN II didn't get the Best Picture Nom, then neither should this.. This has to be one of the most overrated superhero movie's I've ever seen and read about on the Net..

Really, Batman Begins is a bit overrated and in no way is it something deserving of a Best Picture honor. Neither is Kong. If they wanted to put a quality blockbuster in the mix, Sith is what deserves it. Not only did it get great reviews, and not only is it a box office phenom, but it was the winner of the People's Choice award.

Seriously, it is beyond me and probably most others how ROTS can be called better than Batman or King Kong.

Batman Begins - #13 (6 #1 spots)
King Kong - #5 (28 #1 spots)
Star Wars - #43 (3 #1 spots)

Which film won the People's Choice award and which did the better box office?

I thought so.

2/3 of King Kong is utterly useless and that's what brings down the film overall. But that last act is has more movie magic than 75%+ of movies that came out last year.

I would not quite call the middle act "useless". It was the most fun I had in any film last year.

Well when one movie has double the amount of people who saw another, obviously it has a better chance to win something like that, especially when you factor in SW Fanboys, which are some of the biggest.
