Be sure to tune in to TBS on the 29th of January at 8PM to see the ceremony and join in on the thread that will surely be going at the forums.
I think it's also on another channel, like TNT or something.

I don't get what the point of not being live is.
It's such a waste.

Seriously.
But if you guys have satellite or digital, you get the East Coast feed of TBS and TNT.

Heath Ledger might win... would be a nice wake to shake up the race.

That means it's not live on west coast!

The good thing about a BBM shutout is that the acting branch is the largest section of AMPAS voters. Not that it matters much.

I saw it last year at 5 PM... with all the weird cuts and shots and all.
Hopefully my digital won't fail me this year.

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope Brokeback wins ensemble and not Crash.
All 4 main actors in Brokeback have gotten raves from critcs and/or moviegoers and/or other awards. And 3 of them are so individually strong that they are able to garner individual acting nominations here (and awards elsewhere).
Crash, other than Terrence Howard and Thandie Newton, feel like a general blur, because there are so many characters stretched across the film. Best Ensemble should be rewarded to a great ensemble of actors, not the biggest ensemble of actors.
Just my opinion of course. I know a Crash fanatic will jump in here any minute now.
Funny thing is, I gave this film a bloody B+!! Which is still very good, and I still think it was a strong film, but nowhere near being memorable, top notch, or deserving of these awards.
Whatever.
The one award I would gladly, GLADLY give the film is Best Song. I love it.
And that's the end of my rant.
PEACE, Mike.

I really think Heath has this for the SAG. The movie has just picked up too much momentum since december/ early january. I'm thinkingto myself, here I am, a SAG voter looking at the ballot. I saw Capote in December and thought PSH was just awesome. But I just saw BBM last week. This movie is really something. That Heath did a great job. The movie got to me. And everyone is loving it. But PSH has done so much and he is consistenly good. He should win. But I keep thinking about damn Ennis del mar. Oh fuck it. Heath it is.
now repeat that for all of the categories.
BBM will sweep SAGS. Mark my words.

Ledger is too young. Hoffman has too much weight behind his career at this point.
You really think Jake could win? There's no way it will sweep the SAG. There are too few awards. I think it's possible that it doesn't get any of the individual awards but takes home Best Ensemble. It looks to take Ensemble anyway. And I'm actually favoring BBM taking Ensemble way more than any of the films. The collective acting in this movie surpasses any other this year.
