A pleasant surprise.

Yeah, it's generic. But it does have some really good action scenes, and they stretch out the ending to a nice effect IMO. Canon is extremely annoying, but I wasn't expecting any less. Other than him though, there's some nice casting choices with an old Cheech as the police-boss, and the weird kid from Quintuplets as a shy benchwarmer with a lot of heart. Not a bad crime storyline either, it keeps you guessing throughout.

I liked it.

It's actually really funny and entertaining. Stupid, but reeeeeally fun.

Much like Shack and Zingaling, I was actually pleasently surprised. No way does this movie deserve to be among IMDB's Bottom 100 movies. It's stupid, but throughout fun. I never felt bored and the climax actually had more action than I expected. Nick Cannon is no Eddie Murphy and the movie could have been even better with a better lead, but I could stand him. My problem was that it wasn't really funny. The couple of jokes that are in the movie are pretty lame and don't really work. For that, the light storyline flows well, is interesting to follow and is spiced with nice action sequences. The direction was more competent than you'd expect from a movie like this. Breezy fun.
