LAST HOLIDAY - 8/10 (A-)
I loved this! I expected it to be really good, but it was much better than even I was expecting. This story about following your dreams is really sweet and at times touching, avoiding most cliches that movies of this type fall prey to. Queen Latifah is so likable here and I thought she gave an excellent performance. She is very charismatic and it is hard not to fall in love with the character she portrays. Even though it is fairly predictable, it's still easily worth seeing. It has a big heart and will easily win you over with its charm. A great film to start the new year and one that I highly recommend.

Rumor Has It and Just like Heaven are crap compared to Last Holiday!. Seriously this was a huge surprise to me, of course the movie was predictible ass hell, but it was great!
QUeen Latifah has officially become one of my favorite actresses, she was a perfect fit for this one

Latifah is really good in this one.

This was actually a nice, funny little movie. Predictable, yes, but it was good.

Excellent. Enjoyable, well made, Latifah giving her best performance, a good concept and storyline, a heartwarming message, all of it clicked. I feel I might be a little harsh with this grade, even.

Now this was quite a surprise to me! I have never liked Queen Latifah. Mostly found her to be obnoxious and unfunny. How was I surprised when I saw her pulling off a solid and charming performance in this sweet little flick. It is of course very cheesy and predictable, but I couldn't help, but enjoy it. It's funny at times and sweet at others. Could have been a tad shorter, though.
