I'm sure he's good, but not THAT good.

No, he really was that good.

Hoffman, Strathairn and Ledger were all amazing.

Dare I say it, Crowe was good, too.

I still need to see it, but the voice just keeps holding me back. (actually, I was a bit too busy, but the voice is like nails on a chalkboard, but that's how he sounded)

better be nice to Crowe or he may smash your head with a telephone.

Cheers, Mate. < I think that is proper.

Looks like 4 wins is the number to beat at the Globers still.

Man, if Williams wasn't shut out, BBM would have got 5.

Heh, the Ledgers flew so far only to both be snubbed.

I feel like Hoffman almost locked in his Oscar victory tonight, and Clooney has moved in front of Giamatti. They'll want to give him something, and Crash is going to take screenplay.....

Supporting Actress still up in the air. Literally any nominee could win.

I won't dignify Best Actress with a comment.

I'm really tempted to go back to, like, August when we were looking at Oscar projections.

It's all "Munich and Memoirs of a Geisha will slaughter everything! WTF is Bareback Mountain?"

I never backed either of those films.

So, final count is BBM 4 awards, Walk the line 3

I don´t know how Walk the line could miss a BP nomination. It seems almost impossible.

Thankfully, I didn't watch the show.

Congratulations to Memoirs of a Geisha for the score win; if the film's storyline and direction had been as good as its score, the film would have been a masterpiece.

To hell with everything else.

Congrats to BBM for it's 4 wins and WTL for it's 3 wins.

Best supporting actress is between Adams, Weisz, and Williams, and I see Adams winning with Weisz in 2nd.

It did what is necessary to be in contention, and the wins are expected to begin with. It's not like a sudden turn of events or something, so count me as not yet convinced that it's in for Oscar.

I am so tired of those cheesy uses of popular songs, that "Dont Cha" intro was horrendous. Even the Pussycat Dolls seemed more authentic, and they skip along with the record...

In hindsight it's hard to believe they killed off the two youngest cast members like that. I bet they come to regret it over time.

Sweeping picture, director, and screenplay at Globes is rare. It hasn't happened since American Beauty, and before that it's Scindler's List. Brokeback Mountain is on very solid ground.
