Picture Question - Who deserves it more - Brokeback/Munich
Best Picture Question, if the Oscars don't decide to go with a smaller picture - Who deserves it more between these 2 bigger movies - Brokeback Mountain or Munich?
**************************************************
Note > I mistyped and called Brokeback, Breakback, by accident.

Munich is my choice > by alittle. Personally I felt that everything that was good with Brokeback was in Munich plus more. and cowboy stories, though I love them, are usually much more simplier.

You've seen Brokeback Goldie?
Personally, I'm kind of torn as I love both movies. Then again, I'd be happiER if Brokeback wins.

Ya, I'm sort of in the same state as Christian.
I thought Munich was slightly better than Brokeback when taking everything into consideration.
But, there's no denying I favor a Brokeback Mountain win.

I prefer Brokeback, I can see why people like Munich but the movie just didn't engage me on any level.

Well I like Munich a lot more but I wouldn't consider Brokeback Mountain an undeserving winner.

I guess I'll know in about a week. I doubt I'll be able to see Munich or Capote today, so it'll probably be tomorrow for one of them and then before Thursday for the other. I hope to see Brokeback when I get back home.

Munich was fantastic... I've seen it three times already and fall deeper into love each time
But, since I'm a member of the pink mafia, I obviously want Brokeback to win.
It's a very tough call, and I better see BBM before I make it.

O, O, that one second to the left looks like Tim.
We don't need matching clothes or hats. We're marked. I can bend over and show you, if ya'd like.

one thing about Brokeback, it never went far enough, I agree that it had nice pictures and a nice basic story but ....
it never went far enough......................
[spoil]
- after Michelle Williams sees them kissing and after one small fight about her working, they get divorced - no fight about the gay thing.
- they had no problems with the gay stuff with any people.
- Health gets a girl and time with the daughter and then they disappear.
- even the Randy Q scene, you boyes cheated me, now get out.
- never see any time with Jake and his family - especially since they had issues
etc.

Well I did think Munich was the better film, so imo Munich deserves it more and I really do wanna see an upset, Brokeback is getting just too much love. Brokeback if it does happen to win though, would be very deserving, unless ofcourse Batman Begins was nominated for best picture, then BB would deserve it even moreso.

I agree. Batman Begins was the best movie of 2005. The best movie I've seen in a long time.
I voted Brokeback Mountain cause Munich is unnecessary, too long, Bana is mediocre and I found that shot of the Twin Towers really disturbing and dangerous.
