After seeing the trailer I was excited to see this movie. Unfortunately, I saw more negative than positive reviews so I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved this movie. It was so witty and smart. It knows when to be funny, and a lot of the humor is really random and hysterical. Evan Rachel Wood continues to show growth as an actress. She is really one of my favorite actresses, and she truly does have a lot of range, and I see her having a very long and successful career. The film can be downright offensive, and it's obvious that is wants to be daring and controversial. But that's what I appreciated about this film the most. It doesn't hold anything back, and everything is displayed right in your face weather you like it or not. I was disappointed with the ending because it really didn't make much sense, but that is debatable. People have their own perceptions of what the ending means. I honestly think Kimberly feels guilty for her actions, and she is now seeing for the first time that she will never truly be happy regardless of what she does. I really did enjoy this film, and it really did surprise me by how excellent it was. I like dark comedies like these, and this one certainly didn't disappoint me.

Wood is great here but I honestly didn't like the film all that much... I felt it was pretty pretentious. ( )
