Because you are not a moron.
Bruno Ganz's lack of a nomination for any American award proves that the awards season is bunk.
See ya in the awards section!

I am seeing Jarhead, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Constant Gardener, 40 Year old Virgin and Munich next month, so my list might change considerably.

It´s actually the perfect coming out film, but with girls in plaid skirts holding guns!
But seeing as you have Kong and Grizzly man on your list, I guess you like your movies more... hairy?

Thought I should mention that unless Match Point makes it on here, this is pretty much my final list right here. And so the year ends...bring on 2006.

Good list. We have 5 films in common, and the other 5 you have scored at least a B on mine as well.

Updated list, after seeing Narnia.
1. King Kong
2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
3. Wallace and Gromit
4. Chronicles of Narnia
5. Kung Fu Hustle
6. Serenity
7. War of the Worlds
8. Sin City
9. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
10. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Standard disclaimer:
My problem is that I haven't seen enough of the new films. I can't always find the time to get to the movies like I would like and when I do go, I tend to want to see the blockbuster special effects kinds of films as opposed to the more "serious" fare, because I figure I can always watch the more serious stuff on DVD and not miss as much of the experience...
So catch me again in a year when I have seen Capote and Good Night and Good Luck and Cinderella Man and I am sure my list will look a lot different.
Other 2005 films I saw which did not make the list: Batman Begins, Corpse Bride, Hitch, Robots, Sahara, Star Wars

Nice list, Libs. I haven't seen Munich or Brokeback Mountain yet, but I didn't grade any of those films less than a B+.

Libs, watch Downfall. It has 90% at RT and #50 at IMDB's Top 250 for a reason.

There's still [s]Brokeback[/s], Match Point, The Producers, Memoirs, Breakfast on Pluto...
Unless there's a spoiler floating around, my list may be final.
1 and 2 are more or less interchangable. Same can be said for 3 and 4.
