All the Russian websites are reporting that the Supreme Court of Ukraine has annulled the results of the second round of the Presidential Election.
I'll post the story from an English-language source as soon as one becomes available.

Friday's ruling followed an appeal by opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko to annul the results of the November 21 runoff, claiming fraud in eight of Ukraine's 25 administrative districts.
The fraud is alleged to have taken place in the eastern region where Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, named by Ukraine's Central Election Commission as the winner, has most of his support.

Nah, to be honest: I don't mind who will win - all I want is a fair election! I find it pretty funny that Juschtschenko is the clear winner now - you can clearly see that he got all the sympathy... :wink:
By the way: A victory of Juschtschenko is a little victory for Europe (the press reports that he should 'bring' Ukraine closer to Europe (he supports modern economy).
But I'm pretty sure that Krem knows a lot more than we all do! :wink:

Much rather because the first election was rigged in favor of Yanukovitch and the possible fact that Juschtschenko was poisoned by Yanukovitch's people. Is it true that Janukovitsj doesn't even speak Ukranian? I read something about that when the Ukrainian presidental debates were taking place. Apparently Janukovitsj spoke almost entirely in Russian while Justsjenko spoke in Ukrainian.

He knows Unkrainan as far as I know, but not as a native language, but something that he has learned later on and he cannot speak it properly. _________________The greatest thing on earth is to love and to be loved in return!

Well, I'm finally back from New York.
After waiting for 2 hours in blistering cold I finally got to vote in my first election ever, and though it was sort of anti-climatic, I am still proud of taking part in what could be the defining moment in Ukrainian history.
Just to let you guys know, both candidates are native Russian speakers and both of them had to learn Ukrainian for their Prime-Minister jobs.
The reason Yuschenko is the "good guy" (well, to me, at least) is because he is commited to continuing reforming the country towards a freer society and towards further integration with the west (though that does not mean that there has to be a split with Russia). Yanukovich, to me, represents everything that is evil and corrupt about the present regime, including widespread bribery and a general disregard for human rights.
