Repeat of George Lopez is more than Lost!!
Lost should have like 30 episodes a season because these breaks really kill its momentum.

"Lost" is no different than "ER", "Desperate Housewives", or many other successful dramas. It just doesn't repeat well. As for episode breaks, last year, the series had 24 episodes plus a one-hour special in-between. That's MORE than the normal for dramas (22). It's just that it's "Lost", so I guess people notice the breaks more.
As for 30 episodes a year, that would pretty much kill the show after three seasons. I'm sure everyone involved would like to see it go for five or more seasons.

I sure hope Lost ends after 5 seasons at most!

Wow, the Lost repeats are horrible. I can understand it's a drama who usually don't repeat well, but still, it was doing fine last year...
OTH continues to do really solid repeat business. Alot better than Supernatural, Veronica Mars, and not that far off from Gilmore Girls and Smallville who destroy it in new episodes.

Last night's was a repeat of Ana Lucia's backstory. I've at times been a huge Lost fan on this board and I found something else to watch last night.

It really baffles me how well CSI and Law and Order do in repeats, when people know the outcome to the episodes. It's understandable if people watching them haven't seen the episodes, but that can't always be the case. Then, shows like "Lost" which could use a repeat viewing or two do horribly.

They don't necessarily know the outcomes. I think Lost and DH and Grey's and other soapish shows have a devoted following. CSI, Law and Order and such have fans but they also have a large segment that dip into the show for a week or two then skip it for a while. IMO obvously. Plus the benefit of those cop shows is you dont have to remember anything, you can forget them 5 minutes after you see them.

Well similiar to watch Archie Gates said, I think that serial dramas just don't repeat well since the people who watch the show regularly catch the new episodes on their first run pretty religiously, and the people who don't watch the show don't bother with the repeats because they can't follow it. Procedurals repeat well because, for the most part, there is no need for you to have seen the last couple episodes or so in order to follow the story, and the fans aren't as pressed to catch the new episode when it first airs.
anyway *yawn* to an all-rerun night. Deal or No Deal's success last week showed you can get decent ratings during the December lull (especially on a night when first-run offerings are meager or non-existent), if only the networks would try.
