Heil Kong!
By the way, can anyone tell me why BOM did not update the grosses with the new estimates for Harry Potter, Syriana and Rumor Has It? I am writing my article right now and I'm not sure what numbers I shall use...

Well, the thing is that I don't want to wait till tomorrow for the actuals because posting the article would be pointless by then, IMO, so I am wondering what I shall use for now.

Geez I just checked last year and there were 24 movies that made 100 million and more. This year there are only 17(18 with WTL most likely making it). I dont know if FWDJ can make it or not but even so, there are like 6 less movies to hit that make than last year

Consider that some were disappointed that 2004 actually had less $100+ million flicks than 2003...
We'll end up with 19 this year (FWDJ will make it).

Now what was The HULK's drop after 1 week?? Something like 62%??? Hell, I predicted a 52% drop for KONG and it get's 58% which is pretty substantial that this beast is on it's way out..

Hulk dropped 69.7% and it did not have Christmas Eve hurting its Saturday.

Oh please.. No more excuses folks.. This is a bad drop for KONG at 58% and even worse when NARNIA only has a 38% drop and KONG beat it out by what?? 1 Million or so??? As a matter of fact, I'm wagering right now whther NARNIA really was probably the #1 movie for the weekend and Universal Execs are fudging the numbers to make their movie #1 cause if it couldn't hold onto #1 for more than 1 week, then they'd know deep down their movie was finished and someone was gonna eat it as a result..

BKB, that's stupid. It is more likely that Fox fudged with the numbers of ROTS' opening day, so it got a perfect $50 million. I mean, it passed $50 million by around $13,000. Seems too much of a coincidence to me, no?
Kong is still ending with $230-250 million.

Dude, your figure is a fanboy dream and when reality sets in, KONG will be lucky at this point to even make it to 200 Million, maybe 205 and that's still massively disappointing that cannot go ignored for as much overpraise and hype as it received..

BKB: Some of these experts should be kissing your butt, since you own them over KKs performance.

Since Harry Potter earned $2,205,359 on Tuesday, there is no way its Monday was only $1.8M as estimated. A $2.5-2.6M Monday would give a $6.5M weekend.

I dont see it passing WOTW either. After next weekend, its weekend will probably drop from 30 million for 4 day down to maybe just 15 million the following week. January is also one of the suckiest months too and probably most of the theaters will probably drop the number of screencounts for Kong because of its length. Come on now Lectoer, you have been projecting that same 250 million+ gross even before the movie came out and each of the weekends seem to come in less than you originally projected. Dont be like DP07 was with the yahoo review count is for Elektra
Either way if you do quote JB007, its still alot less embarrassing than those 300 million+ predictions that were predicted here. He still won most of the battles
