Andaroo its no fucking secret that you love seeing your arthouse films in empty theatres. Just because CRASH shows the way many human beings behave (in a over-the-top coincedental way) doesn't make it a shit film. Neither does it matter that Miss Congeniality is in the film.

The film is effing excellent. Perfectly written and acted.

Well, you should expect fans of the film (which I am) to call you out. I don't care if you don't like it, that's your choice, but I just didn't expect you to start threads bashing a movie that so many people liked after you had problems with LOTR bashing that was in the same exact context.

Anyway, it's not worth arguing over, I just wanted to let you know my thoughts about this thread. Crash is my 4th favorite film of the year and my #1 favorite film that is a serious film. (Sith, Fantastic Four, and Sin City are above it) I think it is very well written and acted, and it pushed more buttons than any other film released this year. It devided people and was about a very touchy subject matter. The type of shit stirring film that could have went far. After all that going for it, including my own bias for the film, I still haven't listed it in my top 5 for the Oscars, even though it wouldn't be impossible. Had it been released during the season, I think I would have listed it.

Sorry you didn't like it better and I hope you can handle the King Kong assault that BKB is sure to launch after it missed out on a GG nomination. It's all in fun, right?

It's my opinion. I don't need anybody's approval to have it, and certainly don't need a faceless person on the internet to validate me. If you need that kind of validation, well, that's what I would call embarrassing.
