Munich finally enters.
Reese is starting to dominate, and Amy Adams is going to ride the critic wave to a nomination, I think.

So...I am assured in my guess of Amy Adams being a lock for a BSA nom.
Good to see love for Munich.
Narnia getting best Art Direction over Harry Potter and Charlie? Now what's up with that?!
Oh and honestly...not to rain on Walk the Line's parade, but Hoffman is getting exactly the amount of praise this year that Foxx got last year.

We finally have some balancing out or at least a start.
As far as Walk the Line...
I was starting to think Reese Witherspoon's win was not as locked up as originally thought and that Huffman or Watts could really provide stiff competition. Or even Dench herself.
However, a few of these recent awards have pretty much convnced me she's still on top and by quite alot. They may not mean much for other awards, but a bunch of critics awards going to her is very assuring. I would have expected them to spread some among Allen, Huffman, Dench, and others, but Reese does seem to be dominating.
On the other hand, her accolades are making Joaquin Pheonix look not so hot. Hoffman is leading the critics race and he will undoubtedly remain the leader throughout the whole season for all these critics circles or small awards.

Hehehehe, now you are challenging the wrong person here, considering he blew more on his DVD's this year than an average inhabitant of Chad or Nigeria earns within his/her lifetime.

Good for him considering doing so is a big waste of money when one could easily copy them for a fraction of the cost.

I don't copy either, though. I like the nice covers.

Is it worth the extra cost though?

For a cinephile, certainly. A cinephile also has his pride in supporting the film industry. And making his DVD shelf look pretty.

100% in support of that statement!

The extras alone are worth the extra cost to me.
Guys, comeon. This is a festive forum with lots of good things happening right now, so let's not spoil the atmosphere for the Golden Globes.

You mean supporting an industry that makes billions a year. They have more than enough money already. In fact, for all the awful films released every year they have too much.

I concur!! Be happy, SMILE. Prepare for the great discussion that the Golden Globe nominations will bring tomorrow!
EDIT: By the way, when are they announced? I mean, what time of day specifically?
PEACE, Mike.

You can copy the extras as well if you want to. I don't even copy DVDs because my computer doesn't have the proper drive but I am looking into it since many people tell me it saves lots of money. They say you could double or triple the number of films owned just by Netflixing them and then burning them.
