Mad Hot Ballroom: B
Nice, well-done entertainment, but I wish we could have seen more home life, a la Spellbound. In the end, it has more of an entertainment aim than a message about the kids involved. Fun watch, though.

Outbreak - B

Fun and pretty gripping movie. Did have a lot of plot holes, but enjoyable.

As a long time Harry Potter fan, I have to say this was absolutely fantastic. It surpassed all my expectations.

Kingdom of Heaven - C

Very uneven, as the first 2/3 really bored me and only the last battle redeemed the film somewhat. And it's not as if there were a great deal of character developments in the first half. I actually learned a lot more about the period from the DVD feature.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-9/10. Definitely the best in the series so far, taking the darkness the previous film had, but eliminating the uneventfulness. Plus it's definitely the definition of a good teen movie (I'm sure the next movie will expand on this), though it's probably the most elaborate, expensive teen movie ever made.

And Emma Watson--I'd hit it.

Good Night, And Good Luck.-8.5/10. David fucking Strathairn! Plus the issue it tackles, but man, Strathairn as Murrow...fucking outstanding.

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou-5/10. Very disappointing. The most uninspired and dispirited effort in Wes Anderson's career. I can see where he was going at, but everybody in the movie seems so bored, which killed it.

Completely terrible. There's not one thing I could think of that I actually liked about this movie. I thought it would be bad but it suprised by being worse than I ever imagined.

One of my favorite comedies, actually. I can always get in the mood to watch it.

Last two:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - D+
Skeleton Key - B-

I was shocked that I couldn't like my #1 most anticipated film in Harry Potter at all. Not one bit. I down-right detested it.

Skeleton Key was decent, I'm still digesting that ending. Kate Hudson did a surprisingly great job, and wow this is easily the hottest shes ever been.

Last three:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: A+ (Brilliant! Never thought i'd get into the Potter mania. Loved this despite not having seen or read HP2 o 3!)
Wolf Creek: B- (better than expected - but too gruesome and too sterotypical aussie depiction)
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone: B (Ive read the book and i'd say its solid but nothing spectacular)
