I saw the play on the weekend, then the movie the next night. I had seen the movie before, and I hadn't minded it(B-/C+), but the second time I was dumbfounded. What struck me was not that the movie was a worse version per say, it was that it was exactly the same. Every single line and gesture was directly lifted. They didn't even try to spin it at all, they basicly filmed it and put it on screen. Basicly it came to me as the most unoriginal film of all time.

Happy Endings: B+
Really liked it. Close to an A-, actually. The script really never approaches that of Don Roos's The Opposite of Sex, which I think is utter brilliance, and I actually found Lisa Kudrow's storyline to be a bit dull, but other than that, it's a pretty fantastic ensemble piece. Good writing, entertaining, funny. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Happiness: B
Been wanting to see this one for a long time. It's twisted yet, in a way, really watchable. Might have worked better if the film worked a little harder to do more than push the occasional sexual boundary, though. Not a lot of emotional pay off from any of the stories but still a pretty funny watch.

Underrated movie with very solid performances by Clive Owen and Jolie.
