I don't know. I just think Michelle Rodriguez has some acting problems. She has about two facial expressions.
I liked the episode, though. Better than the past two. And the reunion was nice.

HOLY GOD, ANA IS A NUTCASE.
I LOVE IT.
This whole season has felt like one long episode. Which I love! The whole thing has taken place in like 5 days. Next week looks like the return to classic Lost if you are freaked out and feel lame about Season 2.
Loyal is a non believer He probably watches Invasion

I liked the episode.
I don't know, I have this sneaking suspicion that Jack and Ana-Lucia are best friends from birth who into turned into lover in their 20s, and they spent their lives bitching at each other dating on and off or something. The way he reacted when Eko said her name was...unnatural. And the expressions on their faces when they saw each other. I mean, they saw each other like once before they got on the plane, I'd find it unbelievable that he'd manage to recognize her name let alone react to it THAT much.
Maybe that scene at the airport was them just playing strangers, just to fool with each other for fun. "Well hey stranger. Whats your name? Mines Jack? Nice to meet you Jack, I'm Ana-Lucia. Drink?" Its a common scheme of date movies and shows.

What a cool episode! They explored that Black Rock ship and tried to learn as much as they could about what it was and where it came from, they went back to that drug smuggling plane and picked it apart for information and useful items. Then there was the trio of polar bears they followed, and the knife fight with the others outside the monster's den.
*wakes up*
Oh well. By the way, Jack sure did seem jealous of Kate's attention to Sawyer.

God damn, this has been one of those weeks where I've agreed with andaroo about just about everything, and tonight's episode just keeps the ball rolling. Ana-Lucia may not be one of the nicer characters, but I find it to difficult to imagine someone believing she isn't interesting. Oh yeah, and the pace has felt much tighter for me. Maybe more hasn't happened (I haven't been comparing this season and last season episode for episode), but it sure feels like the story is moving at a faster click despite far less time elapsing.
And Shack... please, for the love of God, STOP with your absurb theories. The show is not fucking with our head and trying to make everyone actually have entirely different perceptions of each other then what we're seeing. Kate was never going to kill Sun. When we heard the gunshot and saw Ana-Lucia with the pistol drawn and Shannon with a whole in her gut it wasn't the french chick pulling a fast one on us. And Jack/Ana-Lucia are not BFF who the series creators decided we should think they're total stragners by having a single scene of the two making small talk and getting to know one another better. Fuck dude, I know you mean well, but seriously, these conspiracy theories are some of the goofiest posts one could find on the forums.

Anyone notice the crossword puzzle? The word that Locke was filling in was Gilgamesh, and although that was the right answer to the clue (Enkidu's friend), it didn't fit with any of the other words going across. There's a screencap somewhere, but I can't find it.

ana is absolutely horrible. she isnt interesting or fascinating, or a character we "love to hate" or anything like that, she is intolerable and i loathe her entirely. I dont care at all what shes been through and poor her she lost her almost baby, how sad, enough already! so shes dead inside, who gives a shit? she didnt seem that dead inside when she was flirting with jack in the airport. so first she kills Shannon and then she decideds to hold Sayid hostage and point a gun at everyone else and even fire in Michaels direction, yeah, that will get us to love her! i do have to say, there has been one good thing about ana, she makes formerly annoying characters seem fine. i am actually liking Michael now because he refuses to take her shit, and good for him. jack is also much more tolerable and on occasion likeable as there is someone who doesnt respond to logic or rationality or anything like that in wayyyy to many scenes as it is. Okay, we had 2 weeks of ana, can this not become the ana-lucia show please? now she can die slowly and we can move on. ana will NEVER be a likeable character, never, she just got worse and worse, then last week she managed to not annoy the hell out of me, then she plummeted right down to where she was and then managed to sink lower. i hate her.

I just downloaded and watched it on iTunes.
I can't believe the reaction I read in the last page and a half.
I thought that was one freakin amazing episode!
Ana-Lucia: She's fast becoming one of my favorite characters. I still don't know why so many people hate her. Are you all that shallow? I'll even go on a limb and say she had one of the top most interesting backstories and BRAVO on really explaining why she's such a bitch. This episode was what I was looking for to re-ignite my Lost passion. It's still all about the characters and that's what it's going to end up being about. Alot of you might not care about her backstory but for all we know these backstories give out the most clues! The end-game has to do somethign with all the characters; it's not a random experiment. These people were chosen for a reason.
There was one line in the very beginning that just sold me on the Ana-Lucia character. It was when she was talking to her shrink and said something along the lines of, "Maybe I'm the kind of person that's meant to be alone."
The scene with her shooting the guy (which by the way, don't understand how he isn't in jail for shooting a cop!) was not supposed to make us like her more; just expain how even more flawed and complex she gets.
Although I do agree her acting is not the best on the show and that I might be a little squirmish with an all out Jack-Ana romance, if they write it well, there is no reason to believe it can't be enriching to the show.
Sawyer and Kate: One of the best scenes of the season. I just love how Kate is just falling all over him. I think they click together the best. There is a path I want the writers to follow concerning the two, but it's extremely doubtful that they will! If Jack and Kate get together in the very end, I will be disappointed.
Overall, the episode is very underrated. In the very beginning I started to realize what a mess the show was becoming; too many characters; alot of them don't know what's going on with another group of characters; plotlines were starting to overflow into unresolves arcs and unsatisfying conclusions. Then, towards the end of the episode, it seemd as though evrything was falling into place and going back to normal. All the treads were interweaving togther very nicely. I give em props on pulling it all together and startign to fasten alot of the loose ends.
I can't explain it perfectly, but this episode meant so much to the show as to where it's heading and how they're going to deal with everything. The only flaw is having TOO many characters to deal with now. We still have only 1 backstory for Claire!!! And none for Rose and Bernard!

I just read an article that says that the producers really want to push Michelle Rodriguez for an Emmy next year!

Put me in the camp of those who liked the last episode.
I am mostly with Raffiki one this one (who'd have thought?). I think that Ana-Lucia's characters is one of the most interesting on the show as of now and while I hated her, I think that was how we were supposed to feel. Also, I found her backstory great and it delivered an explanation good enough to xplain her current behaviour.
I liked the re-union as well.
Overall it was one of the strongest episodes this season, either my favorite or my 2nd favorite.
By the way, my friends and I have a Lost-marathon tonight as we watch all episodes of the 2nd season that aired thus far. The first season just ended in Germany and my friends are impatient to see the 2nd season (which is likely to start here in April), we decided to go for this marathon.

Technically, in "Lost time" it's only been about 2 or 3 days since Desmond left the hatch.
Remember that this entire season has taken place in the space of 4 or 5 days.

You're not telling me anything I don't already know.
Hey guys, remember when Claire had a baby and then suffered from post tramatic amnesia.

The stuff happening in the present on the island is just filler to string us along. The show is really about a half hours worth of boring flashbacks each week. Irrelevant personal dramas galore, strung together by occaisionally touching base with the struggle on the island.
After they realized the show was a big success last year they made a decision (IMO) to kill off the two youngest cast members and add a bunch of new ones, mostly older, so they can have fodder for 4 more years worth of flashbacks. I'm sure we'll eventually see touching flasbhacks of Rose and Bernard that will put me to sleep.
I'm flashbacked out. The only thing I look forward to in backstories now is hope of an appearance by that gruff cop who was escorting Kate. He was amusing, I want to see him again.
