As is, Wallace and Gromit and Corpse Bride are locks for the nominations... I still reallly want the last spot to go to Howling Castle... but ah well, Disney and it's evil heartless corporation will win and it'll take that third spot.
I dunno. I remember seeing the trailer for "Emperor's New Groove" and thinking "My god, this looks terrible." I didn't see it until the DVD came out and realized how hilarious it was. I hope the same thing is true for Chicken Little. But you never know...

I agree, the trailers have all been dire so far...
However, like Groucho said, Emperor's New Groove looked like shit but wound up in my top five films of all time. Maybe it was a fluke, but for now, I'm gonna give Mark Dindal the benefit of the doubt.

Chicken Little is a tough call. It could really go either way.
Anyone seen the ads they're running on TV now, though? Apparently Richard Corliss of Time thinks it's brilliant.

I should never have given Mark Dindal the benefit of the doubt.
My new predictions:
Madagascar
The Corpse Bride
Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (winner)

Variety has some info on the Annies:
Wallace and Gromit = 15 noms, including feature and like, 4 voice actors.
Madagascar recieved a total of nine nominations, including animated feature, effects and storyboarding. Chicken Little, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and Howl's Moving Castle round out the animated feature category's contenders.

Well, as expected, W&G won the Annie as Best Animated Feature. It won 10 Annies, I believe.

I didn't think Corpse Bride was great, but I did like it. Glad it got a nomination over the other tripe.
Wallace & Gromit releases this Tuesday on DVD. I'm excited.
Howl's Moving Castle not till next month.

You liked Corpse Bride? Didn't you give it a C?
Anyway, I loved Corpse Bride (B+) and found W&G to be worse than Chicken Run and overall pretty disapponting (B-), sad to see it sweeping all. I will see Howl's Moving Castle next weekend. Last year was the crappiest ever for animated film, it feels.

Yeah, it was a pretty crappy year.
And I gave Corpse Bride a B, not a C.

Oh, you are right, I confused yours and Libs' ratings. Corpse Bride was really good, IMO. Great score, great visuals.

Not only did W&G win the Annie for Best Feature, it won EVERY SINGLE FEATURE FILM CATEGORY. Every last one. A sweep.

'Wallace & Gromit' Sweep the Annies
Claymation hit Wallace & Gromit: Curse Of The Were-Rabbit was the big winner at the Annie Awards on Saturday, picking up 10 trophies at the annual animation ceremony.
again, can't see any reason this will stop before the Oscars.

I agree!
Corpse Bride was very good, but not up to par with The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was always a bit much to ask for another instant classic. Wallace and Gromit I didn't mind, but I had the same problems with it that I had with Chicken Run. Too slight, one-note and a teeny bit dull. I preferred Madagascar if I'm completely honest.
Haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle, but if it's half as good as Spirited Away, I'd say it deserves to win.

Wow, I completely share your opinion. I actually prefered Madagascar to W&G slightly. I thought I was the only person on earth to do so, hehe.
And I agree, if Howl's is as good as Spirited Away, it deserves to win.
