Ten Movies to compete for the Best Animated Film noms
Here they are:
Chicken Little Gulliver's Travel Hoodwinked Howl's Moving Castle Madagascar Robots Steamboy Tim Burton's Corpse Bride Valiant Wallace & Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
And Here is the full story
Am I the only one who has never heard of Gulliver's Travel?
I'd predict Madagascar (the obligatory hit), Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (the likely winner) and Howl's Moving Castle.
Corpse Bride might get in though, instead of Howl's.

I say screw Madagascar that film was on Shrek 2 levels of badness, that craptacular film wouldnt ever make my list
BJs Top 5:
Chicken Little (this crapfest was close to shrek 2 levels of badness as well, but allas Disney can make a better film)
Walace and Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Outstanding flick would not be dissapointed to see it take the Win)
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (great film, but not as good as The Nightmare Before Christmas)
Howl's Moving Castle (Only hurd good things about this film)
Steamboy (this would be my last pick, it looks good for the nom but not for the win)
Overall animated flicks have been pretty good CGI is easily the worst of the three this year With Mega crap like Madagascar, Robots and to a lesser extent Chicken Little.

I consider Madagascar for a nom since they actually nominated Shark Tale last year, so...

I haven't seen Corpse Bride, Howl, or W&G, but I must say...
What an awful year for animation.

Gulliver's Travels could be some random animation from a different country that they usually throw in. Heh.
What a meh list. Now I'm just waiting for the Makeup and Sound Editing bake-off!

Shark Tale wasnt bad, it was on Chicken Little Levels of badness, Shrek 2 and Madagascar in in a whole other lever a absolute badness. Then Robots totaly takes the cake for CGI shitfest.

I saw Madagascar last night.
It's not fantastic, but it's not as bad as Robots. It was at least appropriate, and doesn't have cross dressing robots.
I think bowl movement humor was only used twice.

Oh man, Shack never ceases to amaze. How the hell is that going to get a nomination instead of Howl's Moving Casle, Chicken Little, or even The Corpse Bride?

I reaaaaaly hope Madagascar doesn't get nominated over Howl's Moving Castle. It probably will, though. Boo. As long as it doesn't win, though. (if both Madagascar and Robots get nominated... That would be just, wow.)
And I think its pretty good to say that there's no way Steamboy is getting nominated.

I've never seen Steamboy, never looked at its reviews, I think I saw the video for it once at my video store. I was just taking a surprise shot out of nowhere for a movie like that.
