I quickly caught on to who he was. Some people pick up on stuff quicker than others, I guess. Like I've said, what exactly was the purpose, and where do you get you philosophy that the members here don't matter?

I also don't see what the big deal is with comic double accounts like Michael Bay, or functional ones like BallotPm, as long as the people who formed them are upfront about it from the start, or never use that second account to attack another user or play back and forth with-themselves or as counter-identities. They're funny. That Uwe Ball acocunt we had made special for his forum, that was hilarious!
BallotPM is cool. personally, i'll step back and say ... i couldn't care less about the "2" michael bay accounts. they're out and are mainly there for comic relief and no other reason .... i take back what i said earlier on about them closing down.

How about egging people on without insulting them? You know like an Uwe Boll account or Paul W Anderson?

This is a position that I could be more tolerant of. Double accounts mean votes are pretty much voided, whether they be polls or awards and such.
I'd be much more accepting if I knew who the person actually was, because it's quite shady to pretend to be somebody else other than who you are. If an old account is locked and a new account is started, that's cool, but members should be told if a problem like this comes up. zach was never somebody that I really had any problems with, but lennier decided to have a problem with me and all zach did was redirect his insults from people like RC to me. That seems to have completely defeated any purpose that I can see for the decision made to make a new account.

And that's exactly what I want to do. Start afresh. I've dropped baggage with old users and pretty much plan on avoiding them. That's all said and done in the past. I don't plan on apologizing for this account, and I don't think Krem or Baba should. It was never hidden information. As baba said, ask and ye shall receive. Mav could have asked friendly and gotten a friendly answer. I was NOT willing to divulge that information in the predictions thread, however, because I felt Mav was going too far, pretentiously as usual, to make a point. I was trying to make a statement. It's been made. I'm perfectly fine with people noting that I am, in fact, Maximus.
I want to make a point to those who may be upset by this. I created this account as a sign of good faith to you guys. I want to start fresh and try and mend a few relationships, but more importantly discuss movies. I love them more than any of you guys know. I look forward to talking about movies, and chatting with plenty of users here. Forgive me for being so defensive in the past, and I think you will see, with this new account, a more considerate poster. With that, I'm going to drop out of this debate. I just wanted to clear some things up. If you have a problem with it, please PM me. At this point, I think I might look like a bit of a desperate hypocrite, and I understand that. Hopefully my actions in the coming months will suggest otherwise. I'm a huge believer in second chances, and I hope you are too....

The architecture thread and lots of little tihngs pretty much gave away your identity. To me, at least.

Zach, that's cool that you wanted to start fresh. Good for you, and I wish you luck, but starting fresh doesn't mean stopping the fights with other members and picking a new group to start insulting. If you want to start fresh, stay out of the arguments and stop throwing out insults to people who haven't said a negative word to you. That's a better definition of starting fresh than creating a new account and pretending to be a new person.

I *knew* someone would pick up. Mav pretends to be such a genius... he doesn't need IP addys to figure me out. Check my posts. No matter where I go, I'll always love my architecture.
I really hope you aren't offended in any way. You're actually the only person I had an ounce of personal conversation with. And what I said about UC Berk is tooootally true.
... Not that this at all makes up for some of the things I did a while back. I still want to leave that in the past.

Oh, I was still starting fresh. With you. Really, Mav, I'm saying this with a smile on my face as a friend, and not an adversary. Please PLEASE evaluate the way you challenge people from time to time. I've been trying so hard to do it, with this new account, and yet again I've nosed myself into a fight. I'm trying to fix that. Oh, and I SO never pretended to be anyone else. I just wouldn't budge- you really should get off that horse of yours

See, you still continue with the negative comments toward members, all the while, claiming you're trying to make up for the past. For the record, I have no idea about any architecture posts or any of your posts that aren't directed at me in a conversation. It didn't take a genius to be able to tell you weren't somebody new who didn't know his way around this place, and it didn't take a genius to figure out that you (zach) had mysteriously disappeared, and I actually didn't look into that until today. It wasn't any posts about architecture, it was the volatile attitude that gave you away, so when I quickly looked over the member's list, your name stuck out like a sore thumb, and it was the first and only guess I took. I'd only told Tony that I didn't think it was him, but I never really looked into it until today, and it was the bad attitude that gave you away, so that's how your fresh start has started off. If you're really serious about the fresh start, how about you stop doing the things that led you to wanting to start over in the first place.

Wow, after countless posts trying to reconcile our "relationship", you take a comment out of context!! I'm not fighting or attacking here, Mav. The comment was made in jest. How many more smilies do I need to insert in there? I want us to be perfectly clear. J-o-k-e.

Well, zach, I hope it makes you happy to know that Chris (the french guy) and I had a really nice PM conversation and are cool with eachother and apologized and look forward to more box office talks. I wish you luck in your quest, and hey, I'm always trying to improve on things that I do online. I also get blamed for stuff that wasn't my fault, and you can't blame a guy for not liking that, huh?
