 Hardball
Hardball Quote: Hardball is a 2001 American dramedy film directed by Brian Robbins. It stars Keanu Reeves, Diane Lane and D. B. Sweeney. The screenplay by John Gatlins is based on the book Hardball: A Season in the Projects by Daniel Coyle. The original music score is composed by Mark Isham. The film is known in some parts of the U.S. as "Little Sluggers." A surprisingly great sports drama. B+

It's sappy, but it works very well.

A miserable failure, utterly embarrassing and devoid of any heart, intentional laughs, or sincere drama. That sounds like hyperbole, but it's not. The comical end to "G-Baby's" oh-so-short life has brought me endless laughs. The Bad News Bears meets inner city "ghetto" drama with a touch of "recovering alcoholic" thrown in for good measure. Fuck Hardball.
If a movie or TV show has the name "Brian Robbins" anywhere near it, just avoid.

Very sappy and generic, indeed, but I iked it somewhat. It never bored me and I liked the ending too.

This is for some reason a huge Chick flick, its decent to watch. But really just generic. Still better than most recent sports movies B-
