I'm far from a Christina fan, but she doesn't bother me as much as Britney. Perhaps it is because she can at least sing. And, at least she never tried to act sweet and innocent like Britney used to.

I have to agree, Xtina never bothered me all that much becasue she can actually sing and you gives off the impression that she is being herself. She comes off as alot les smanufactured adn that whoel actually having talent thing is a nice touch.

Plus, as much as I hate to sound so politically correct, it is slightly disturbing to me that female stars that flaunt their sexuality are always called "skanks", whereas the males (Ben Affleck) are rarely treated the same. There should be equal opportunity skank-ness! Us men can be prostitutes too!

My point was that Britney still tried to act like she was sweet and innocent, by coming out in interviews saying she was proud to be a virgin and wouldn't have sex until marriage. You knew it was all bullshit, but she still played that game. At least Christina never tried to play both sides of the fence.

Precisely, during Christina first album they tried to amrket her as sweet, the second Christina got control she started alking around naked, and it felt as if that was the real her. LInda Perry (member of 4 Non Bloneds and producer of Christina's alsum Stripped as well as other successful albums) even said, "She just doesn't like to wear clothes." Appreantly Christina recorded most of stripped not wearing very much, she likes to dress skanky, she has all of those piercing and she has not gone around claiming to be the girl next store and upholding virginity.

If you want to use sex to sell records fine, but don't expect people to believe that "I'm the sweet innocent virgin" act.
