That was a great episode, and not just because it had Auntie Lindo from The Joy Luck Club. Very engaging, and unlike ER the past couple years I cared about what happened to the patients, sad when the Rookie of the Year died, and Bailey had to call the parents. I don't think I've been disappointed with an episode this season.

Great episode tonight and a great season so far. I've loved every episode this season.
Can anyone tell me the song played at the end of the episode though? I used to know it and now I can't think of it. It had the word "infity" in it a lot so that might be the title? I'd appreciate it.

Wow. Amazing episode!!!!
In a season in which Grey's anatomy has been slightly better than Housewives, Housewives finally had an exceptional episode. But, how I don't know why, it was topped again by anatomy's best of the season yet.
Soem might say Sandrah Oh is overdoing it, but she was phenomenal in this past episode. Given that her written part was showy she still shocased some great acting. Justifies her first season nom.

By the way, I did find out the name and artist of the song. As expected, it is called "Infinty" and it's by Merrick, yet sadly and surprisingly I haven't been able to find it to download at all .

As I don't think anyone has mentioned it, the sick mother's story arc is pretty interesting and well done. Especially since they brought her into the hospital.
A nice touch to the other story lines.

I noticed they started doing narration like Desperate Housewives. (I noticed last week)

They've been doing that all along.
The narration is also far less annoying on this show than it is on Housewives.

I've never heard it until last week, and I've watched many episodes. How did I miss it?
And I like Brenda Strong's delivery, but I realize it's not for everyone.

The doctor told him that watching porn releases (can't remember the word he used) in his brain that makes him be able to deal with the pain better. hehe Funniest thing I've ever heard in this show, which isn't exactly a laugh riot.

Ah, I thought he [Derek] would make his choice tonight.
Anyway, it was a good episode. I enjoyed it a lot, but next weeks episode looks like it's going to be really, really good.
I never liked Christina as a character, but tonights show really amde me like her. LOL, loved when George called her "porny."
Not too much of Izzie, unfortunately, whose probably my favorite female character. I think it's obvious her and Alex are gonna get together.. she's probably going to be the one who helps him pass that test, too.
Derek.. my favorite male character .. is now just started to get annoying with the whole Addison - Merideth thing. Make a choice and get it over with already. Sheesh :x.

Another great, amazing episode.
By far and away the secnd best show behind Lost right now (well, given I only watch 6 shows)
I'm really getting drawn to Alex and his problem. Does it have anything to do with him failing the test? I think so because they put that in the "previous on Grey's Anatomy" catch-up but I think there's more to it.
Next week does look very good!!
But if Derek chooses Meredith, I will be thoroughly disappointed with the writers. This is all besides the fact that I think thsi storyline totally brings down the show, but... if he took that long to decide (and he still didn't) then it means he doesn't love Meredith as much as his wife. Get over, get with her (wife), and get on with your life. We all know that Meredith and Derek are gonna end up together in the very end and I might as well have them put it off for a while rather than keep playing the same thing over and over, so pick the wife (at least for this season)!

Any idea of how long the ex is on the show for - maybe he still won't make a choice for awhile.

See now that gets into one of my all time pet-peeves about TV shows...
I don't want to know how many more episodes the ex is signed on to do cuz it will ruin it for me. Yet, the second something behind the scenes happens, it's reported and spoiled for audiences. I actually kind of like her. She has hat perfect bitch that you know you love feel about her.

I agree with you. and the good thing about her is that she is a top notch doctor so there are other reasons for her to be hanging around.
Maybe she will be offered a temp postition.

They seem to have backed off playing songs throughout each episode and are going for a more conventional "score" more often than they used to, and it makes the show more watchable for me. I found the usage of songs was overdone, and it was annoying and distracting.

This has been my favorite episode by far! I hate to say this, as I don't want it to come off wrong, but between that missing leg and the pole situation, they've done some morbid comedy that I couldn't help but laugh about. (the pole situation is obviously not going to end with a laugh, though. )

Tonight's episode was terrific! The best this season yet! This show is f-ing DYNAMITE this season! WOW! Eat your heart out Desperate Housewives, you've got nothing on this show now. And I absolutely love Ellen Pompeo this season. I didn't dislike her in the last, but I love her much more now.
