Never fear, boys and ghouls, Mr. X is on the case!

*Mr. X approaches the creature with no sign of caution. He pokes it once... then twice... then writes in his notebook.*

X's Log... umm... big pile of numbers... and a 5! Everyone loves 5. Anyway, back to bees-nuss. This creature, of prehistoric decent, looks mean... irritable... slightly hilarious.

*He pokes it with a large pointy stick, and watches as the creature eats the stick.*

Hmm... intewesting... intewesting, indeed! The creature is... a wood-eating creature, hence he shall be known as Woody the Wood-Eater!

*Woody growls loudly, and spits a white liquid in X's face.*

Interesting. The small, wood-eater has spit something white and sticky in my face. It seems that eating the wood has caused it a white liquid to emerge, and be blown onto my face. Seamen!

... *The creature looks confused.*

My seamen, from my underwater submarine (The Mr. X Submarine Machine), will examine Woody, for proper analysis. Go get him, fellas!

*The seamen shoot out of the long, smooth sub, in small, yet quick packs. They approach Woody without a sign of caution. Woody then takes them all in, in one big gulp, and eats them.*

Interesting. It would seem Woody is a meat-eater. Woody never even beat the meat, in order for a triumphant, albeit quick climax. Instead, the seamen prematurely evacuated the submarine, without using proper protection, and now lie deep inside Woody. It would seem Woody would be full after all this seamen swallowing, but his red eyes and deeply disturbing growl would suggest otherwise.

*Woody jumps on X's head, and eats his brains.*

Interesting. Woody forgets that Mr. X's brain was bought on eBay, for the low, low price of $876 and 45 cents. It would seem this other guy, by the name of Mr. X, kept outbidding me. Eventually, I won, but somehow he won, too. Anyway, Woody... that brain is fake! I hope you like the snack, buddy! Bahahaha... wait... that eBay thing was a dream. I remember now! I woke up screaming that night, thinking my gone was brain. Wow, coincidence a what. Minute a wait... words are my messed up? Oh-uh...

*Mr. X falls to the ground.*

Mr. X - 1986-2004

It's a hoax, or a hammerhead salamander, and apparently loyal has had it for over a year now!!

Oh, and loyal...nice DVD collection (you have a better single shelving unit than my 3 unit system that is scattered all over hell), that shower picture really hurt to look at, and once again, nice girlfriend.

Sorry...just couldn't help myself from removing the "backyard.bmp" from your link!

I'm curious, how did you find the link. What did you google?

I subscribe to forteantimes and read the story there.

http://www.forteantimes.com/

I tried about 10 searches from everything from "elongated face lizard" to "strange smiley reptile", and then on a whim I tried "hammerhead lizard" (because it looked like a hammerhead shark to me), and on the second page it had a site that had a drawing of a hammerhead salamander - http://www.cryptozoology.com/gallery/di ... hp?id=1993 - that looked exactly like "your" creature. Then I went back and put in "hammerhead salamander" and the rest is history.

I forgot to mention I first went to snopes.com (it wasn't there), which BTW has some funny/disgusting pictures...

http://www.snopes.com/photos/

I especially liked the pics of the guy with maggots in his brain (click only if you have a stronger stomach - http://www.snopes.com/photos/maggots.asp ). Yuck!

That was brill.

Also, the other pic with the guy who ran from the cops.

People don't run. Please, don't run.

Yes. That one was really bizarre, and it looked kind of painful. I guess you can say he kind of lost his head when he decided to run.
