Lets try removing the training wheels
I've posted on many forums, as I've sure many of you have too, and I've never run across a case where the rules were posted in every section other than BOM -- and now here. I don't think it is necessary, almost every other forum I"ve been a member of works well without that being necessary and really, I don't think BOM was an example of something to copy.
How about we remove it from all sections other than The Site? In the unlikely event that mass mayhem ensues you can always put them back up later.
I think having them in all the sections like that just leads to an atmosphere as if the people here can't handle themselves as well as people on most other forums. It makes the forums look immature to be honest. Despite the rampant jokiness, people here mostly know how to present themselves and don't need that.
I've thought this for a long time, since it was first done in fact, but figured now is a good time to bring it up since change is in the air.
And pardon the snarky thread title. You know me, can't resist a turn of phrase.

Not only that, but no one reads them and they just add more clutter. In fact, I dont even pay any attention the em. Just another sticky somewhere near the top. So I agree. Take em down. :O

What do you guys think of removing "Moderator Moderator Team" under every subforum on index page? Reduntant, and kinda silly. Who's moderator? Moderating team!
It would be much better if we had a little more mods that are assigned for different forums, and then having their names there (as was at the beginning of forums iirc).

Lets also change the sky.
Blue is no longer appealing to me. I think a bright green to show off my love of the eagles would be appropriate.

Eh, we should have options with the themes. I kinda prefer blue, and I'm sure a lot of people do too.
Give us a few!

Heh eagle wasn't talking about changing the theme color, he was being sarcastic about my suggestion, and in the process making it clear why I had to wait till these days to become more outspoken.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys.
And yeah I miss the old days of being able to choose our background colors, but that's a subject for a different thread.

A problem I had when these forums when I first joined was that I thought it was trying to much to be like BOM. I mean regarding that its sections (save the franchise ones) were nearly identical. I don't have this problem anymore, as I feel like that this forum is a diffrent place.

Cute.
I am sorry the rules being posted in all the forums bother you so greatly.
