3 weeks, boo!

I also don't want Shannon to get offed...I feel her character is *starting* to become interesting. I don't see why anyone has to get knocked off right now anyway. Egad.

I agree. I can understand them strategically killing off someone eventually but this doesn't feel like the right time for it at all.

The kid's legs were white.

I bet it's Alex, Danielle's son.

Man, I hope its not Shannon. Killing anyone is stupid, and if they do theres so many better reasons for it to be the boring Sun who is just a tread-off of great Jin in my mind. Shannon is looking to be psychic or something, so that might work in her advantage. And with Sayid, her character can only grow.

God dammit.

I suppose they eventually had to have a weak episode this season, and weak that was, indeed.

Not awful, but I find it hard to be interested in petty Jin/Sun meetings/class struggles when we've got stuff like the hatch going on elsewhere. At least give us something substantial.

It was fine, though. And three weeks? What!?

I really like Lost, but an injection of humor here and there wouldn't hurt.

They need to come out on a beach somewhere and Jeff Probst is like "hi there, you are fighting for immunity". And make Stephanie and Bobby John join the cast with Rupert an evil pirate who wants their buried treasure.

Oh and Richard Hatch, because the show is seriously lacking some homosexual vibes now that Boone is dead.

The person who gets voted off the island gets voted to their DEATH.

And then at the end you find out that everybody just OD'd on John Locke's drug-cream.

Yeah somewhat of a weak episode, it didn't have much energy. Not bad just not one of the better ones, but I enjoy the actors who play Sun and Jin (Chewie lol, love that nickname). I like the black guy from the tail section people though, better than Michael who has always been annoying. I think what this episode needed was for people to not be quite so nice, everyone was just so damn nice, other than super-bitch Rodriguez of course but even she ended up flirting with Sawyer with their "a/s/l?" conversation.

That worn looking blonde woman with the tail section people looks familiar, has she been in anything we might have seen?

LOL. I actually came to the same conclusion last week from the previews!!
I saw the dragging teddy bear and was like OMG could it be Alex? And my mom was lie no, no... it was just a teddy bear on the ground. I rewinded and saw that it was someone dragging it. This episode just about confirms it.

It also seems as though anyone who gets the "sickness" becomes an "other"

It was a good episode tonight. We're defintely starting to get some filler now but Sweeps month will provide some more interesting episodes till more filler. I liked the flashbacks and especially liked how much they covered about each character. The ring idea was defnitely not original but Sun brought alot to it especially at the end.

Ehhh... really tired. I'll write ore and look up interesting tid-bits tomorrow.

Question - Is it sure that someone is going to get it?

In the previews, they said someone will be LOST FOREVER.

Could it be a play on words?

I'm going to wild guess that the incident might have something to do with Charlie's hidden drugs. I really hope though that the incident is about the tail section people, I don't care if any of them die.

I doubt they'll kill off Ana-Lucia, Echo and Libby without any background info. And I really enjoyed Libby and especially Echo last night. Ana-Lucia...I'll give her time.

That show was kind of a snoozefest... not my favorite. I hate Michelle Rodriguez more and more every week. Please for the love of god... kill her off!

Anyhow, I think they'll off one of the tail sectioners. Either that, or as Goldie says it may be a play on words with the "lost forever" reference.

Really? Hmm, thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure. At first, they looked black, then as the camera followed them, they looked white. I was confused and I couldn't figure out what it was lol.

Why would it be Alex, though? The baby was stolen from her when she first got on the island 16 yrs ago. I don't think a 16 yr-old would be carrying a teddy bear around lol.

No.. they said that it was a girl that did it.

Is Alex a girl or a boy? I thought she said it was a girl, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.

Maybe the teddy-bear carrying child is a 11 years later wormholing time-travelling Aaron?

I don't see Sun or Claire as capable of murder, so I guess that leaves Shannon and Kate.

Ana-Lucia? She seems like the killing type. Hell, she is the killing type.

Oh yes I agree, but I didn't see any of the tail section people as rising in stature enough yet to be called series regulars. For now they are guest stars to me, with the potential for some of them to become regulars. If they are including them then that explains a lot. Hell if Kate killed Ana I'd cheer.

Actually hmm Kate is missing Sawyer, Ana is flirting with Sawyer...it could happen. /wink

Hmm...
.

.

.

I don't think it'll be Kate, because they won't revert her character back to those ways, not now, and possibly not ever. I don't think it'll be Shannon, because her role seems to be more psychic-related in the next episode, and I don't see her operating a gun anyways. Sun or Ana-Lucia in my mind. I think this helps Shannon's chance to live, because it looks like most of her interaction is with her psychosis, the Walt-spirit, and Sayid. Nothing about Sun or Ana-Lucia having anything to do with her at all. My predict: Sun kills Claire.

They've set too much up with Shannon to kill her this early, I think. There's the relationship with Sayid which has gone absolutely nowhere, there's Vincent she has to look after, and she seems to be developing psychic powers or something similar. I doubt they'd set her up this much just to kill her off before ever really doing anything with her.

I think it'll be Sun or Claire (Both fairly useless characters, Claire being the most useless female in all of Lost), killed by the opposite one (If Claire dies then Sun kills her, if Sun dies then Claire kills her) or Shannon kills them in some kind of uncontrollable rage.

I don't mean to interrupt your Lost thread, but there's no other place to talk about this.

I watched 6 more episodes tonight (well... "Special" is playing now). "Solitary", "Raised By Another", "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues", "Whatever the Case May Be", "Hearts and Minds" and the aforementioned "Special".

As a blur, these are pretty great. I like watching series in forms like this because the "not quite as good" episodes really kind of blend into the background. What's left is some really great stuff. My new favorite part of the show is anything where Kate and Sawyer are together and play off of each other. Especially "Whatever the Case May Be" and Kate's headbutts.

I liked Danielle and her backstore in the freaky deaky way. This is one of those shows where like Sayid is fixing the music box and all of the sudden you are like OMG THAT'S A MAP OF THE ISLAND.

Locke and Boone's relationship is pretty interesting. I have heard someone is going to die in the first season and I'm not sure who, but Boone seems like a likely candidate given all of the signals. One is that he seems to have reached the same apex of characterization that Locke has (making him less interesting) and the "red shirt" conversation.

"Hearts and Minds" wasn't a great episode, but I know fully believe that the island is making everybody experience these flashbacks and my theory is that Boone and Locke have basically let the island consume them to a certain point and have in return gained a certain kind of "enlightenment" or connection with the island. The fact that I now think the flashbacks are triggered by the island rather than just "backstory" kind of makes the whole thing a little creepier to me.

One last thing... Walt's crazy thing with the bird running into the window and now he's seen a weird animal or the "monster".

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

The Polar Bears are very His Dark Materials!

Glad you like the show, but all the great stuff is yet to come.
