I was just so happy that Jack went an episode without tearing up.

There's some interesting stuff up over at AICN at the mo'.
Go to http://www.oceanicflight815.com/. Click on the barcode at the bottom of the screen and type in "theislandiswaiting". It brings up a page of script from episode 2.06.
Herc seems to think that Jin is talking English here, but I don't think so - notice how Jin's dialogue is italicised? Daniel Dae Kim probably just translates it into Korean on the day. As for what's going on in the script, it's pretty out there. I don't wanna say anymore in case anyone takes it as a spoiler, but it's definitely tantalising stuff!
Also if you change the now familiar http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ to httpS://www.thehansofoundation.org, it brings up a page with yet another website address... http://www.bigspaceship1.com.
Apparently this website shows a different flash animation every 108 minutes. As I type this, it has two mirror images of polar bears heading toward each other. Notice that when the two polar bears overlap, a red dot appears on the screen. If you freezeframe it at that point, highlight the contents of the red dot and paste them into word, you can see that it contains a code: 2FEN06. Notice also that the page title is in morse code. When translated, it reads "Sometimes a polar bear is just a polar bear". What all this means... I have no idea.
I've not seen the rest of the animations yet, but by god my interest's piqued!

Oooh!
If you go to https://www.bigspaceship1.com, you get sent to a login page for site admin and users. Perhaps this 2FEN06 thing is the password to get in!
Now if only I knew the user name...

I did say last week that the others looked like zombies to me. But I doubt that page's authenticity. One of the things written on it is that Michael now knows Korean, that seems extremely unlikely. If this is real then I bet it is a dream sequence.

The page is definitely fake, but Michael does know some Korean. He's picked up a few phrases while building the raft with Jin, and he probably took a look at Sun's Korean-English translations.

Wow, I just got the 1st season on DVD, and the first 2 hrs of watching has been fantastic. I love the fact that it was all so rushed, and all over the place, but just clicked. (The guy now playing Hurley trying out for Sawyer, Kate taking over the leader role of Jack, who was supposed to only last one episode, and Sun trying out for Kate, the casting stories are great).

Some of those websites truly are creepy... but no, the show doesn't scar you really.
I bought the new LOST magazine, first issue, and read through almost all of it (something I rarely dow ith the Alias magazine when I occasionally pick it up). It didn't really have any direct spoilers or clues or anything really (well, it was released around 2-3 weeks ago I think) but it prvoded me with so much more insight into the show... even more than the DVD's which I have yet to finish catching all the special features (but for the most part, have seen).
As opposed to what so many people are saying... that Lost will eventually run out of steam, it may turn into Alias, it may turn into the X-files... I don't think most viewers realize what a unique show this. I truly think, when all is said and done it will go down in history as one of the most unforgettable series' to grace television.
The creators know EXACTLY where the story is going. They know EXACTLY what the "monster" is (which is not a monster by the way) and when they will reveal it (we will get more teases and clues in Season 2 but I don't think we'll have the big reveal this season). They now how it's going to end, it is ALL planned. It's only a matter of time and how much they can stratch it out, but not in the bad sense...
There are going to be SOOO many mroe characters with so many more flashback stories, my main concern is it's going to take a long time to develop personal arcs for each character because we are going to get limited to 1 episode a season to most castaways eventually!
Alot of these reasons and so much more I have read (not just from the magazine... you can tell when these producers and creators talk, you sense it in their tone and delivery of basic nothingness that they know where it's headed) really justify why I'm not afriad that this show might stray down a certain path, switch gears, or tire out. Also, the great thing is J.J. has so much input and creativity invested in the show but he's not always the brains behind it... if he leaves the well oiled machine that is the cast and crew of LOST keeps running smoothly. Lindelof and other creators all work together and each knows the way... it will never fall apart, even if JJ leaves it for years!

First, google it.
Then, think about something that Locke said in the season 2 premiere.
Finally, if you still haven't figured it out, carefully look through the driveshaft "official site". Then, it should all come together.

I'm disappointed. Not with the show (another fantastic episode, btw), but with you guys. Maybe it was mentioned, but I don't recall it being mentioned. Billy Ray Gallion (IMDb page supplied within his name, just click on it) played Randy, the asshole boss where Locke worked in "Walkabout" (last season's first Locke episode) last season. In "Everybody Hates Hugo" (this week's episode), he played Randy, Hurley's asshole boss at that chicken place. Coincidence? I think not.
Excellent episode, like I said. I really enjoyed the numerous references to Season 1 (Driveshft; Rose's husband Bernard; Claire's love for peanut butter; the return of Vincent after briefly appearing in the first episode).
Was anyone else kinda thinking that the black guy was Bernard? I was. Which is what I think they intended, because you wouldn't really expect Rose's husband to be white. Not that there's anything wrong with interracial relationships.
And finally, I agree with whoever said they didn't care for Michelle Rodriguez. I really don't like her. I liked Cynthia Watros's one line of dialogue more than her Rodriguez's three appearances so far.

Racist.
But no, I agree. It took me by surprise, too.
I don't mind Michelle Rodriguez so far.

I had heard that before, but IMDB didn't update the guest appearances until recently, so me and most other fans didn't notice. Anyways, it doesn't mean much. Someone has pointed out that we already know that Hurley is the majority shareholder in Locke's box company. When the meteor hit Mr. Clucks, Randy was out of a job, so Hurley, feeling guilty, gave Randy a new job at the box company.

You know, I also thought that the black guy (has he been named on the show yet?) might be Rose's husband for a split second but I also see it pretty unlikely that he was from the plane. I was quite surprised about the Bernard revelation, as in him being white but I thought it was great. There was an excellen article last year, or earlier this year in the LA Times about how Lost doesn't sterotype and one of the rare shows that really explores the characters as people, not as black, korean, overweight....
They of course bring up those issues because they are inevitably played on in society, but they never define a character by their race or any other factor... it's just a part of who they are and the only time when it's pointed out is when it becomes an issue like it would in real life; as in the castaways stereotyping everyone else when they didn't know who they were (Sawyer to Sayid, Jin and Michael in the beginning, etc.). And that impresses me ALOT. It's also how I believe they are going to introduce (or should I say reintroduce) a character as being homosexual.
As for Michelle Rodrigues.... I don't know why so many people have a problem with her. IS it her or her character that you don't like? Or is it the fact that a somewhat "star" is joining the original cast (that was made of alot of unknowns) and you might find her inferior?

We never saw them actually happen, but in "Numbers", Hurley mentions the meteor when he tells Rousseau about all the bad things that happened because of the numbers. Hurley's accountant mentions the box company in the same episode.

I don't like her OR her character. Never liked her much as an actress, but her appearance on Lost.. I really, really dislike her character. She just rubs me the wrong way. I don't like the fact that she's going to be a love interest for Jack, either. She seems a total opposite of Jack and who he is, and doesn't seem like the type of person he would generally go for (i.e. Kate, who yes, has had a bad past, but on the island has not showed any of that and has been pretty laid back and doesn't act anything like what Michele Rodriguez's character is like, or his wife, through the brief times we saw of her, was also not like her character at all). Jack seems a little bit softer of a person, while she seems to be this raging bitch. Judging by what we've seen of her so far, I would think she would be more of a match for Sawyer. But, I guess time will tell, huh.

After much pressuring from my friends I have gone out and rented and watched the first DVD of the first Season... meaning episodes Pilot - Part 1, Pilot - Part 2 and Walkabout (I think?). Interesting stuff.

Appearently, when the chicken flashes green, the numbers are there along with this:
JACK WILL DI (cut off)
POLAR BEAR
DHARMA
HANSO
HURLEY
And when the card flashes, it says, "Don't Push the Button. The Button is Bad!" twice.
And of course note the "Website by 4815 Designs" bit at the bottom.
Insane.
