haha...Ty played the race card. :hahaha: (and we all know he was 100% right.) I'd be surprised if one of the girls ends up fronting INXS, too.

Damn you Veronica Mars! Had to tape it tonight, so I'll watch the show tomorrow. Did Suzie get the encore?

Yes, and she got to pick another for an encore. She picked Marty.

Finally got around to watching the show. Suzi rocked and I'm really starting to root for her to win. Fantastic. The bottom 3 was pretty underwhelming. I thought Jordis could have done a lot better (although they did give her the WORST INXS song. It's horrible). After that, I'm starting to doubt if she'll make final 3 if she isn't able to sing INXS songs well. Ty deserved to go.

My prediction is now MiG, Marty and Suzi in the top 3, with Suzi and MiG in the top 2. MiG will win.

Marty, impressive as hell with the softer song then his rock song that he wrote himself. Whether he wins or not, I hope he gets noticed. It was hard for me to tell whether the judges were being polite or whether they really liked it.

There's only 2 contestants that it's possible for me to picture rocking a 50,000 person stadium, Marty and Suzie. Mig doesn't have the vocal strength, but he seems the favorite despite that, the judges look like they are most comfortable with him - I get the sense he's the nicest guy behind the scenes, that may play into it.

Jordis is very talented, but I think she should have entered American Idol, not this. It's a shame because she's got a great pop voice.

Great performance. Marty's song was really good as was Suzi. JD's was pretty catchy, but I didn't really feel Jordis or MiG's. I don't know whats gotten into Jordis lately. It's almost as if she's given up. She'll probably be next to go. I disagree with you Archie about MiG's vocal strength. This week, it wasn't very strong, but usually is very good. I'm still rooting for Suzi though. She's improved so much over the past couple of weeks. And Marty's chances are really going up.

Well im sad that Jordis is gone, but i think it was the best choice, although i really prefered JD to go today!

Now that Jordis is Gone, im rooting for Sweet Suzie  she is the best singer of the top 4!

Jordis is great, but her voice just does not suit INXS music. And Marty was robbed of the encore. J.D.'s song is good, but nowhere near the level of Marty's. And as much as I love MiG, he NEEDS to be in the bottom 3. The past 2 weeks he's deserved to be there, but he's always safe.

btw, I rewatched last tuesday's who with a friend who had missed it and seeing it again I'm even more impressed with Marty's song Trees. That could be a top 10 hit if released right now.

I know. I've just downloaded some of my favorite songs from the season (You can find some really good quality ones) like Bohemian Rhapsody, Trees, Pretty Vegas, Man Who Sold the World, Baby I Love Your Way, If You Could Only See and a bunch of others and Trees along with Bohemian Rhapsody are probably my most listened to.

Solid night, but wasn't really blown away by anything. I really don't see the point of J.D. and Marty singing Trees and Pretty Vegas again. I really hope JD's gone tonight, he's probably the weakest of the bunch left.

I think J.D. sealed it last night. He is perfect for that band. Marty is too shouty, Suzie is too bluesy and Mig is too nice. J.D. has a range somewhere in-between Mig and Marty, he's confident and has expressed his love for INXS over and over, he's got a definite edge to him and he's capable of writing good material.

It would probably be just as well for Marty's career if he not win. If he wins, he's stuck singing INXS's songs for a few years at least, and they are not exactly burning up the charts. If he comes in second, he can probably get a record deal and that song Trees is hit material.

I was surprised Suzie was booted. I'd have booted J.D., he's pulled so many attitude stunts that who would want to work with him?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I wanted Suzie to win, I love her! Damnit. I guess I'll be rooting for MiG now. I'm just tired of JD. I just plain don't like the guy and his singing isn't all that special.

Finale prediction: Mig wins, Marty second, J.D. third. Personally I think Marty is by far the best but I'm not sure how INXS sees it.

It will be hilarious if Mig wins, he's another white australian male. They didn't have to leave Melbourne to find that kind of replacement.

You know, INXS was never a great band, and their former lead singer would not have been able to sing Freddie Mercury, so I would expect them to emerge from this a better band, but the creative musicianship will probably not get any better than it was 15 years ago.

Ugh, I can't believe they got rid of MiG. JD is highly overrated. There is nothing special about him. I really hope Marty can win it.

Mig was the ugliest.

...and this is why they picked him.

Congrats J.D.

By the way, that new song sucks. They would do well to include Pretty Vegas on the album and release it as a single, as the entire Rockstar audience already knows/likes it.

The house band was way better than INXS, but as I said, they were always pretty average in their musicianship and creativity. I felt that they chose the weakest of the 3, but he was the best looking of the bunch, so he'll sell to the girls. The band just isn't good enough to sell by their music alone.

I'm pretty disapointed in the pick. J.D. is just so average, there are about 5 or 6 I'd say are more worthy of the title. Those last 2 minutes about signing up for the Rockstar show gave me a glimmer of hope that there might be another (even though the chances of it coming back are about 0.1%)

Suzie was my favorite.

However, I do like JD's voice, if not his personality, or his stage presence.

It worked out well for INXS and Marty. I think Marty is better off not being their lead singer, he looks like he will have a good career without them, but the show gave him some real exposure. Frankly if an INXS album and a Marty Casey album came out tomorrow, I'd be more likely to by the Marty one. And I used to listen to INXS in college when they were fresh. Don't Change was my favorite of their songs.

I don't expect INXS + JD to have any hits or major tour success, they seem like nice guys but way over the hill. I mean they seem about the same age as U2 but U2 kept themselves sharp. INXS guys look so retired.
