No I'm not saying to get rid of the language but something to help maybe would be if people can have the option if they want to see it, like on your profile put language censor? and they can say none, some (just for major words) and heavy (for all bad words)

I don't have that big of a problem with it. I just don't like it when people use it constantly like thats all they know.

Man, personally if I could just have any restrictions go on the site I'd like one that doesn't let idiotic threads get posted. But the best we can do is just ignore them or shoot them down, and I suggest you do the same man. If someoone is swearing constantly or in a personal attack they get warned, but that's it. This isn't middle school, this is a public forum where people are aloud to express themselves however they want as long as they follow the guidelines the administrators choose to make, and one of those guidelines is not "You can only swear a very limited amount." So I'd suggest sucking it up or leaving, because I think between this forum and Impact, we all know which one needs the other more.

Okay Impact, I am doing this for your own good. Please don't be offended. People will express themselves in ways they are accustomed to. There are some, like yourself, who love being able to talk without using curse words or vulgar language, or whatever you want to call it. It's a choice that many people do not really know about. I'm not implying you grew up that way, with a family of the same nature, but there is a large percentage of people who do not grow up that way. Most people live in dysfunctional families, and grow up hearing this language, and adapting to it. It becomes their language, and it becomes their way of expressing themselves.

Sometimes, people don't grow up in families where cursing is used a lot, and they still grow up to use curse words constantly. Some do use it excessively, while others only use it occasionally. In both cases, it's their way of expressing themselves. More often than not, those who use it occasionally only use it when they are angry or upset. Those who use it constantly only know how to express themselves in that way. I don't think any way is wrong. If you want to express yourself that way, let it be. Words are, after all, just words. They don't come wrapped with sharp objects that hurt you, or sealed inside a punch to the face. They are JUST words, and they shouldn't be hurtful and offensive. Unfortunately, they are to some people, and while I admire your ability not to use vulgar language, I don't think it's a great idea to let it be known in such a public manner. You've said it a few times, and I think it would be best for you to PM Eagle or bABA about it for a better, clearer response than what you get from everyone else.

Impact, this isn't BOM where we have to act like we're at church. If you really have a problem with swearing, all I can tell you is that maybe the language censored BOM is a place that you'd be more comfortable at. I don't notice people swearing excessively like you claim. If somebody wants to say the word shit or goddamnit, they can, so ignore it or if you can't, I'm sure BOM is in your favorite places.

Uh, Impact doesn't ask for a whole board censor, just if one can set up for individual users. If it's implemented, you don't have to use it.
