A word to Dolcevita: Make sure you get wasted after the movie, or, else, you won't get Krem to shut up about how bad the damn thing might be in his HUMBLE opinion.
Good one torrino.

Click on the my website link, you'll see what I'm talking about. Anywho, how about tomorrow night?
Speaking of your website, I can't be the only one wondering how you are in Philly and in Duke at the same time. Unless they moved N.C. up a few miles since last time I visited.

Would I EVER love to join my two favourite people in the world... at the show.... in my favourite city in the whole world....
only Miru and Ripper couldn't make it...
and besides, Dubya has revoked my passport.
Go figure.
What I wouldn't give to see a picture of my old pal K watching The Motorcycle Diaries!!!

If you HAD to pick a great debater, Archie would defintely be at the top.
But K is still the MASTER debater, which might explain why he flips-flops while looking at himself in the mirror.

Oh, I most certainly have that... being a scion of both Pistons and Celtics.
Only Dubya thought "dual citizenship" meant he could challenge me to meet him with pistols on the White House lawn at dawn. I consider myself bound by the Laws of honor to give him the Satisfaction he demands. My reputation as an Officer and a Gentleman - in short, my all - is at stake. Should I omit meeting him in the manner he requests, I must ever after be treated as a Rascal and Coward -- unhappy alternative.

So, what did you two decide on movie-wise?
If anything else, see Finding Neverland or Kinsey. There isn't much in terms of the "big-studio" productions unless you see The Incredibles or National Treasure (which looks like crap, lol).

Hey all! What's up...been busy so will post full details later, but all I have to say is Kremmy introduced me to the dark underbelly of Infused Russian Vodka...and then we went and saw none other than National Treasure! Bwahahaha! Made infinately better by Krem (on my left) and the two guys (on my right) who all had hilarious running commentary throughout the entire movie. The comments from the peanut gallery coupled with lots of peach, cranberry, plum, and um three other flavors of remarkedly palatable homemade vodka (brought to us in these cool vials that looked like after-dinner appertiff vials on steroids), made the movie surprisingly entertaining.
More details to come tomorrow...

Full details.
So anyways, Krem is very nice from th outset and pushes back our meeting time by 1/2 an hour because I'm runing late (nothing new there). He says he knows this place that he mentioned to bABA and I last time we met, on 52nd and 8th. So I head up there...its very rainy, and end up standing at the wrong bar entrance. But I call him and he says, hey, its just on the other side of the street. We meet up and peak in and *OMG* the place is mad packed for 6.30 pm. The place had a small backroom with a couple tables, and a larger front one that had tables in an "L" shape linging the walls and surrounding a huge bar. The bar was packed people thick, and everyone was dressed up really nice. I felt silly in jeans comapred to some of these people. Anyways, Kremmy was a bit surprised, because he had been there before and it hadn't been nearly so active. Not to worry...he works his smooth mafioso ways and moves aside to speak to one of the waitresses in a language that, and I;m no expert here, sounded pretty damn Russian. She sends us over to this huge bartender who was way over 6 ft and pretty broad. More Russian is exchanged. Lo nd behold....like two minutes later a table is procurred for us.
So we sit down and Krem proceeds to tell me the house vodka is *only* 40 proof. Mind you I tend to drink liquer (with the rare exception of a shot of tequilla) that is *only* 26 proof. So I bet y'all can tell where this is going. So We decided to get a sort of sample array and get 6 different flavors. I ixmayed on the wasabi, garlic, and horseradish vodkas...even the thought of those was remarkably unappetizing. Anyways they bring us the drinks in medieval alchemist lab vials. It was awsome. And you know what? They were actually pretty tasty. But Krem had to keep laughing at me not to swirl and smell the vodka first. Bwahahaha. We go to order some food and I order steak carpaccio, the waitress looks at me and asks if I;m sure. I realize carrpaccio means raw, and I chickened out and got potatoes with mushrooms. I had raw ground meat at an Ethopian restaurant last year and it was truly horrible. Anyways, Krem knew the menu better, and ordered something tastier...so I ate 1/4 of his too.
We chill out and I discover he's sold his sister into wage-labor. I can't say I was too surprised.
We liked the vodka so much we ordered an extra bottle of the peach stuff and had a few more shots. Then we jump a cab to the closest theatre. Yes, Torri, we did entertain the thought of seeing Motorcycle Diaries, but it wasn't playing at this theatre. Incredibles was sold out, so we're like, "what the Hell, Lets go see National Treasure!" Brilliant idea. I was a bit tipsy, so its good that I didn't watch anything too serious. The film was made all the better by all the running commentary coming from the back of the threatre where we were sitting. I laughed...alot. One would say I was a bit giggly. $10 Krem had a headache by the end, because I kept hearing what the guys next to me were saying and it was hilarious. It was an innoffensive movie, so that made it easier. There was also a Librarian from the library of Congress in it, so i was pretty psyched for that.
Anyways, to make a long story short. We had to split up after the movie at around mid-night to go our merry ways, and I had a fabulous couple hours of new experiences. Thanks Krem...that was fun. Perhaps next NY Movie Night will be Lemony Snicket???????? Who's interested?
