I'm pulling together the new one. The old one had this image on it.




I'm looking for about 12+ "bars" similar in size to the ones above. If anyone wants to suggest a bar from a poster, or a certain image be used, I'm going to be pulling the flyer together in the next few days. I want to start sending out flyers to other sites with a link soon so that they can have it posted by mid Sept. (If we're lucky). We'll be taking names for country hosts and letting them start their threads the last ten days of Sept, so that we can kick off two weeks of viewing and discussing starting October first. How does that sound to everyone?

Drop image/poster suggestions here, and also, any reforms to the festival you think might make it even bigger and better.


Here's a few I was thinking of, but I'd like everyone to be able to pick a movie they're into, or one from a country they intend to host, actor they want to discuss, etc.

None off the top of my head. Are you trying to keep this to modern films or just foreign films overall?

I'd say use the poster from Downfall, that was a well-done image.

I was going to say use an image from "Shutter" (yes I'm obsessed with this film), but the site is in Korean and I can't read that so I was unable to find an image. I'll still look though.

Was that what you meant? I'm not sure what a vroot is? But any insight into how to make this GRANDE ;-) is much appreciated.

how many ''bars'' are you looking for? are you gonna make multiple posters? if yneed more, l can prolly think of a couple other films to use.

Well. Last year I tried to make a paper printout, so was confined to as many bars as looked decent on a horizontal page. This year I'm keeping it online, so it doesn't really matter. I could do anything between 15 and 20 even. It could be a long scroll sort of. I'm fine with anything, and I'll play around with it after I get all the submissions. I'll cut some only if I feel I can't pull off as many as I can get. I don't see that happening, so toss as many out as you like (within reason, heh).

I don't know. Would it be hard to change the forum entry? I mean, Eagle isn't doing it ;-( Only bABA, and I don't know how much access he has to big site design stuff (he told me he didn't have full, because its not hosted on his computer or something like that). I'll see what I can do by just having him read this thread. he might know better what to do.

I hope we get 50 people or even 100, but that's me being seriously idealistic.

Perhaps you can make more than one flyer, if we get enough good images. Out of those posted so far, my favorites

The simplest way to do it is...

1. Get bABA to see this thread.
2. Have bABA create a folder at root directory.
3. Name the folder "foreign"
4. Create a basic HTML file in the folder. Like default.html or index.html... make sure it's indexed automatically.
5. Put the following HTML in the file:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh"
CONTENT="0; URL=http://www.worldofkj.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=144">

Or whatever URL you want.

Actually, it wasn't... But I really like that one! where did you find it at? The one I'm talking about is an Asian one... it's got some pink in it and Gael Garcia Bernal with this devious look on his face.

I'm loving most of these so far. I might print these in high quality and hang on to them.
